    Not to diminish how much it must sick to for those guys to get shot, but what are the 100 officers on the scene going to help? I get showing up for a dangerous situation, but 100 just seems like a lot of ppl are just gonna be standing around.

      There’d be no point in staging a suicide. The officers were fired upon, nobody with any power over them would question whether or not using lethal force against the shooter would be justified.
