I can't believe in 2016 we have a guy who looks like a blowfish who no one likes, a businessman who brags about his bankruptcy and is openly racist and misogynistic, and a woman who can't use email properly as our top candidates.

There’s the old dude from Vermont, too, who it seems everyone likes and actually trusts. But, yaknow, he looks like a blowfish, right?

“women who can’t use email properly”....you mean a crook who along with her husband has acted like she is above the law for a long time, raking in millions in personal wealth from other rich crooks? Don’t pull punches. She’s as bad any of these candidates except Trump.

“Three U.S. officials told NBC News, however, that “there was no email on Clinton’s server that directly revealed the identity of an undercover intelligence operative. Rather, they said, State Department and other officials attempted to make veiled references to intelligence officers in the emails—references that were deemed classified when the messages were being reviewed years later for public release.””

So, we’re still where we’ve been for months. No, Clinton shouldn’t have maintained a separate email and nor should the previous Secretaries of State. It’s easy to get a little sloppy, lazy, or confused as to what should be discussed on which system. Some content in those emails on the private server wasn’t classified at the time but has since been considered as such.

Not great, but not the massive pearl clutching scandal that apparently people want this to be.

I'm pretty sure that every American with a work email would be fired for sending company information through their personal email. I'm not clutching my pearls, but it's not as though this was some innocent whoopsie.

In general, it is much harder to fire someone in the federal government versus a private company. In the federal government, when you fire someone it’s considered a taking and there are a lot of legal hoops to jump through.

Forwarded to. FORWARDED TO. She didn’t write the emails, someone sent them to her.

It’s called spillage. And reporting it is a requirement. You get into serious shit, lose your job shit, if you don’t report spillage.

It’s unclear who exactly provided that information to Clinton, but if wasn’t President Bill Clinton himself, the former First Lady likely has some explaining to do.

Even if it was Bill, that is still a problem, no? I’m not an expert on security classifications, but I’m pretty sure the president can’t just hand over classified intel to random friends of his to get their opinions.

During that time, Bill was the only person that can unilaterally change the classified status of a document. It would still be shady, but perfectly legal for him to hand documents to her.

Interesting. Can the Pres. really do that for any document?

Actually... as I think about it, I guess it makes sense in a way: President needs Person X’s expertise on a vital matter, Person X doesn’t have clearance and President doesn’t want to wait for some office drone to approve it...

Still shady as hell, as you note.

Thank goodness, because with our population where it's at and technology providing more and more ways to automate we need a bit of socialism, or to kill off half our population.

I love that the deliberate slow dribble of information from the email dump voluntarily released months ago is being headlined as “Once Again...”

This is going to continue to happen at the same pace until Clinton wins or they derail her. There are going to be as many more “once agains” as her critics decide, since they control the narrative now...that was the point of the whole strategy of making her email an issue, so they’d have a neverending supply of issues as they slowly release them, one after another.

For you youngsters who don’t remember Whitewater, it’s the same strategy. A drip-drip-drip of ‘evidence’ that sounds superficially troublesome but that under scrutiny doesn’t hold up. After awhile you start hearing ‘where’s there’s smoke there must be fire’ a lot, even though no one seems to find any actual fire. I can’t believe people are falling for this again.

Like BERNIE himself said we’re all SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT HILLARYS EMAILS.

He sees this for what it is (a fucking distraction) even if his supporters refuse to.

Yeah, I’m not going to even bother. If the Clinton supporters want to twist themselves into pretzels explaining how running sensitive government emails through a private Windows server with an unsecured RDP port is OK because every Secretary of State in history ran their email through a private server, they’re welcome to without arguing with me.

The “every secretary of state in history” thing gets me laughing the most. There have been a grand total of 4*, including her, since email was created. One didn’t use email at all. Another barely ever used it. And then there is Colin Powell, a surprising candidate for voluntary comparisons if I ever saw one.

      Popcorn for all.

*John Kerry is not included because no future SOS will ever be as stupid as Clinton again.

Are we really going to expect either Hilary OR Bernie to know how to use email? How many staffers will it take to tell them how the TV in the white house works?
