    Are we talking about dreams today? I’m sick as a dog and have a nasty cough so I took promethazine/codeine and DXM cough syrup to try to sleep last night. I then proceeded to dream that I was eating a 12"-diameter, 1"-thick pancake that I had made on an electric griddle mounted on the pink toy kitchen my daughter got as a Christmas present in 2013. (Her brother plays with it now, so please, no #endthepatriarchynow comments.) While eating, my dinner guest and I were talking about the Soviet secret agent sniper who had murdered hundreds of people up and down the West Coast, including 2 right outside our house on Ocean Beach in San Francisco.

      I want pancakes now.

      I had a really sad dream last night about a dearly loved patient (a dog - I’m in vet med) that died a week ago today. I dreamed her owner (who is the world’s loveliest person) brought her in, but it wasn’t her. Then I had to tell her it wasn’t her dog. Ok so it made zero sense, but I was just so sad that she didn’t even come back in my dream.

        They are both so heavy on the photoshop in that picture though! They’ve completely replaced their real skin with airbrushing. It almost puts them in the Uncanny Valley. They’re both so much better looking in their real skin, IMHO. (They look like the over-brushed teenagers in the porn ads I can’t escape when looking for music to download).

        I very rarely have days where multiple things go on the fritz. Like my phone will shut off for no reason, then my car will take 5 tries to start, things will drop right out of my hand, and there’s definitely a weird energy around. It’s disturbing af
