    And I am once again reminded of a spat I had on a Dirt Bag thread years ago with a fan who was super resentful that she was an icon* who got no credit from US audiences. And I was like, “LOL, wut?!” You will never convince me that I wasn’t arguing with Rita herself.

      I lived in the UK when her album first came out and she was/is pretty popular over there but it just doesn’t translate elsewhere. I don’t care for her music or the fact that she seems to (attempt to) fuck her way up the fame ladder. In addition to known relationships and the Jay-Z rumor, a lot of talk floating around about other married influential types having her in rotation. Kind of sloppy imo.

        She’s suing them for not releasing her music, so they countersue her for not fulfilling her contract, which they aren’t allowing her to do? Wouldn’t it be so much easier and cheaper to just to drop her from the label?

          It appears it’s Sony Music that’s suing her and Roc has apparently agreed to let her go. This is the same Sony Music that’s giving Kesha the choice of working with a man she’s accusing of rape or not work at all. I dislike Rita but I want her to beat these Sony a$$holes in court.
