Honestly - why would she? If there's any way NOT to impress an Iowan, it's to regale them with tales of your fascinating life in New York City. The only reason Trump's a hit there is because of either sheer entertainment value or his repetitive shouting of the word "America." His New-Yorkness? Not so much.

She kinda already scratched that itch with Lena Dunham, no?

I can just see the squinting folk in the audience now: "Who is that? Is that Carlson's kid? The one who went to Nebraska? No ... I think that's Terry Schulwalter's daughter - remember the one who said she was going into nursing and then disappointed her family by transferring to UW-Madison and becoming some kind of hippie?"

Please, for a diehard politico like, this was probably catnip. The chance to go anywhere and be virtually anonymous is a rare luxury for him. Every public official gets tired of the bubble.

      I know I do!

Well, I have little kids, so it’s pretty much the same, right?

If De Blasio wanted to pick up trash from the side of the FDR, fine, go do something that isn’t a good use of your time but is “community outreach”. The Mayor of NYC knocking on doors in Iowa?! I hope he gives back 1 days worth of mayoral pay back to the city.

The closest De Blasio is getting to the White House is on one of their daily tours.

So that’s all great of him to do that, but shouldn’t he have been mayoring and all in NYC?

NYC is all fixed now. That’s why he has this free time to do these kind of things. He got all his work done.

Clouds of “New York Values” surround De Blasio like Pig Pen from the Peanuts gang.

Does it surprise anyone that Hillary Clinton doesn’t want an elitist New Yorker with his motherfucking lattes and expensive Italian shoes campaigning with her? A New York elitist like De Blasio works against the salt-of-the-earth corn farmer image that is the hallmark of the Clinton brand.

A bro like De Blasio would be more welcome to hang out at a Bernie Bro sausagefest.

More proof De Blasio loves getting on airplanes way more than taking care of his own city. Enjoy your one term, Bill.
