Can we talk about how this guy was found to have mental illness in the early 2000's ? Then what happened? Did he refuse treatment? Was it available to him? Did the police department give a fuck after finding him incompetent? Did he go off without help and should have been watched? Did anyone give a fuck and/or did he just go off on himself? I’m serious, as he was found ill years ago.............Can we get these people help..

His lawsuit against the department (which he lost) said he had been diagnosed with depression, which had to have been done by a doctor, so he was presumably under a doctor’s care. It was on him to get treatment, not the department. Even he never contended that the department caused his mental illness, so why would it be on the place that fired him 10+ years ago to take care of his medical needs? Also, how does his depression have anything to do with him abusing, then killing, his girlfriend a decade later?

The department granted him medical leave to deal with his illness (which, BTW, a department psychologist found was a personality disorder and not depression), and he was working under the table and lied about it in an official investigation. It’s all outlined in the linked red words “the Record” above the grey block about his lawsuit.

Putting aside the murder allegation, a person who violates a domestic violence restraining order is deserving of an enormous bail.

I’ll need to know how long the train was delayed before deciding how angry to be about this.
