including about $5,000 at New York’s famous Morton’s Steakhouse on Fifth Avenue.

I'll never understand this about high-end food. Like, for less than $5 my threshold for food (talking about a single meal here) is 'technically edible, distinct lack of visible roaches', $5-$10 it goes up to 'tastes pretty decent', $10-$20 needs to meet the 'pretty damn good' standard, $20-$100 needs to be 'probably the best tasting example of this particular dish I will ever consume in my life'. Once you've gone past $100 I expect, nay DEMAND, an orgasm with every bite.

Morton’s is like, the last steakhouse anyone with any money would choose to eat in NYC. It’s bizarre.

Also, it’s not clear if the $5K is from one meal or several. If it’s one, the money was spent on wine.

I'm sorry, my apologies. You're right. You're perfectly capable of making the dumbass decision to back a party that has been shitting on you consistently for the last 40 years all on your own. Congratulations.

Jackson said that “Having well-trained, credible, experienced African-Americans constantly challenging the liberal orthodoxy in the media will create a tectonic shift in the perception of the Republican Party within the Black community.”

Especially when those African Americans are white.

      Totally.

And “experienced African-Americans”? At least they’re not messing around with those novice, trainee or probationary African-Americans.

    “relentlessly pandering to homosexuals”

I was on a right wing news site today (I know, I KNOW, it was just a social experiment) and there’s this strange mentality that, should you, relatively, not have many members in your group (AKA a “minority”), you’re not worth discussing—and the hatred is justified, since you’re not a “real American,” like those in the majority. 3 million Muslims? fuck ‘em, get em out of this country. 5 million Jews? whatever. they own everything anyway. 10 million LGBT citizens? Pandering to a special interest group. 40 million black people? They’re 14% of the population, don’t they get enough already??

Isn’t that strange? That people would hatefully judge a group just because they happened to be different than them, and not in power? (this is sarcasm).

How they justify the misogyny with women being the majority I’m not sure of, but it’s just so weird to see this kind of “logic” actually spew forth from real people. Comment threads hundreds of posts long with people just patting themselves on the back for their bigotry. I had to get out of there real quick, most depressing thing I’ve done in a while.

The misogyny I think is “there may be a lot of them but we can beat them up, rape them and kill them pretty easily so, worthless.”

Well, Melissa Harris Perry’s show just wrote itself for this weekend! (Though pity the poor segment producer trying to book the inevitable black Republican to defend this fuckery - quite the task!)

Black (Hearted) Americans for a Better Future (for Themselves) was the original PAC name but the board of directors thought it was too wordy.

Why don’t real “Black Americans” (Jesus, what a giveaway) get in on the Super PAC scam in the first place? Imagine if you could promise (with no intention of delivering, natch) to bring out the urban voters to your lily-white candidates by using catchy music videos and kool-aid pickle adverts? This is the ultimate hustle. I’m surprised there’s no Super 2PAC.

Because the Super PAC scam is all about DC professionals scratching each other’s backs and skimming consultant fees by recommending each other and working for each other.

I don’t get the fascination by conservatives with the black sheep (pun partially intended). You see it on Fox News all the time. Look a black police officer doesn’t like Black Lives Matter, therefore you can safely ignore them. Wow, a gay guy that doesn’t want marriage equality, he’s definitely more believable than the 99% of LGBT people who do want marriage equality.

Tea Party Uncle (tm) loves to send quotes and interviews from the contrarians and act like it means everyone else is wrong.

Is it just to make them feel good about their bigoted policies because that one guy/girl agrees with them.
