Cruz is a massive pile of shit. Massive piles of shit lie, it’s not surprising. It is funny, however, that he thought claiming that he’s got more than a million dollars to throw away on something as unnecessary as a campaign would make him seem like a populist. Way to connect with all your lower middle-class constituents Mr. Man of the People.

I blame the permanent campaign finance reform lobby for setting up a ridiculous dynamic in which a millionaire or billionaire who is self-funding his own campaign can pose as more ethical than a middle class candidate who needs to fundraise, because the millionaire/billionaire is supposedly not beholden to (or taking money) from so-called “special interests” and PACs.

      Just saying.

Okay that was a tangent. Not a tangent: yes Cruz is a massive pile of shit.

It’s not surprising when you remember that poor and middle class Republicans think they’re, as Steinback put it, “temporarily embarrassed millionaires." They're all just one more tax cut, one more slash in benefits to the welfare queens, one more Republican legislator away from being a millionaire too.

New York is home to many wonderful people and places, but the emphasis is more on money than morality, on self-aggrandizment than humility. The line to get in Abercrombie & Fitch is a mile longer than the line to get into St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Seems like Ted’s poster would be more a home in an Abercombie & Fitch than St. Patrick’s

Yeah, but St. Pat’s has massive doors so the line’s going to move waaay faster.

Goldman Sachs is one of Hillary’s biggest backers, with donations to her campaigns at well over $760,000. Shedding light on GOP ties to Wall Street is only going to shed light on Hillary’s much more lucrative ties to the financial sector.

Goldman Sachs loaning Cruz money is hardly at the top of the long list of reasons why I think he’s a shit bag.

Goldman Sachs is going to back whoever seems like a good bet, no matter the campaign rhetoric. The Obama campaign made a big deal out of how many small donors whose backing they had attracted back in the ‘08 election season, but neglected to mention the billionaires who decided to support him once it was clear he was a strong candidate.

For these statements to be true would require a very unusual understanding of what constitutes “public and transparent.”

Please God, let him be the candidate. He oozes smarmy, snake oil, and arrogance in such quantities that is only exceeded by his unlikeable just-taken-a-dump face.

His face isn’t just of the “just-taken-a-dump” variety. I’m afraid it’s worse than that. His face says “I have just taken a dump, and I am so very sorry for it.”

How out of touch are these people? I’m an old and even I know nobody shops at Abercrombie & Fitch any more.

“What astonished me, then and now, was Heidi within 60 seconds said, ‘Absolutely,’ with no hesitation.”

Ok. 60 seconds is a lot of hesitation in terms of inter-personal communication. The next time your partner asks you a serious question, try not answering for 60 seconds. It will feel like an eternity to both of you.

“Hey, do you think we should go somewhere together for Christmas?” One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi...

Think of it another way. Had she said anything other than yes, he would never tell that story. Maybe it’s true; maybe it’s not. But the chances of it being bullshit are higher than normal given the situation and stakes.

Do we think this spells the end of Cruz’s campaign? Serious question. And with a more horrified tone: Does this better Trump’s chances? Do not say yes. DO NOT SAY YES.

Yeah. It does. Because it helps with the “I’m so rich nobody can buy me” argument. And, because you’d imagine that Cruz supporters could easily defect to Trump.

Ever have those moments where you wish someone would die a slow slow painful death via house-fire or necrotizing fasciitis or dissolved in a vat of sulfuric acid or covered in honey and eaten alive by fire ants? That’s how I feel about Ted Cruz.

If Heidi Cruz was making only 6 figures as an MD at GS, she was one lame MD or just maybe was on the payroll for reasons other than her ability to close a deal.
