The federal government came onto my tribe’s reservation and destroyed our hemp crop claiming they had a right to so because it was marijuana. We are suing them.

Good! This is yet another reason why the whole thing is so ridiculous. Hemp has tons of legitimate uses!

I don’t pray much these days, but will send big “power vibes” your way. Also, I haven’t much legal knowledge, but I hope I speak for some of us when I say "let us know if we can help in any way."

I’d be interested in hearing from people who live in CO about how the legalization of marijuana has changed the state. My mother and I were discussing the issue the other day (I’m for legalization and she is against it), and she said two of her friends live in CO and say the state is now a total cesspool with “druggies” coming from all over to get high. I assume it’s an exaggeration.

I can tell you I've noticed NO change whatsoever. I do have a couple of friends who now use weed as their form of unwinding instead of alcohol, and they seem happier and better off for it.

Welcome to Colorado! I hope you enjoy seeing the guy dressed up as joint advertising today’s special (usually 1/8th for $28, fyi) on your daily commute. And the grown ass adults lighting up at the public playground. And the dispensary on every block. It’s great, really.

so what your saying is it’s exactly the same as having alcohol legal, people drinking in parks, liquor stores all over the place just without stoners pissing in the street or getting into fist fights on nights out?

Huh. I thought it was to figure out a new way to cope with the fact that Martha Coakley screwed the pooch twice in statewide contests.

I DONT WANNA TALK ABOUT COAKLEY

she is a smart lady. she is way smarter than i am. but on a tv debate, i would slay her. she’s not good on her feet, she doesn’t have any charm. i am not saying that’s necessary for anyone with any a brain, but considering that’s not how the world works, she made serious fucking mistakes by basically not getting a swagger coach.

Illinois needs to get on this. We are so, so broke. I want that sweet tax and tourism revenue.

Tourism is something I honestly didn’t anticipate. I live in WA and my friend works at a hotel They get people from Idaho and Canada a shit ton and the very first thing they ask for is where the nearest pot store is.

I believe it. Colorado showed strong numbers immediately. I know Illinois is so corrupt, some of the money will inevitably go into some politician’s offshore account, but still. Worth it.

Crime down in Colorado. Overdose deaths from. Painkillers down In Colorado. Tax money up. Less people in prison.

If you don’t think marijuana should be legal, you’re not looking at the facts.
