Okay - so the last thing he can try to use to shock us is to praise Hitler himself for his rigid way of ruling and trying to make a utopia for his people. That’s like the last thing he can say to shock us, right?

I think most of the Hitler talk/comparisons comes from Gawker commenters, my good sir.

Trump knows he’s not going to be president so he’s just buttering Kim up so that he can open a hotel and golf course in North Korea by 2020.

For empty rooms? No way. Lisa Ling did a pretty good documentary on how most of the city buildings in Pyongyang are barren wastelands. It would be a yuuuuge waste.

What does it say about our country, when a front running Presidential candidate, can openly admire and praise one of the worst dictators in our time?

Is Trump giving a warning that If he wins, which he won’t, this is what will happen to anyone that disagrees with him?

Correction: Which we hope he won’t. I’m quickly losing faith in a yuuuge portion of the electorate. Plus, if he gets the nomination, the entire Republican party will fall in line to support him and spin his talking points, however fascist his rhetoric gets. The worst part is he will also affect the campaigns of the Republican Senate and Congressional candidates as well.

his supporters are the same people who were watching fox news blather on about how great putin is for being tough and in charge when he invaded ukraine vs. our wimpy obama, who, ya know, didn’t invade anyplace.

...he goes in, he takes over, he’s the boss.

Well it wasn’t so much a takeover as a handover. Kind of like that first million and then your massive inheritance. It’s much easier when things are just given to us, huh Trumpcake?

One is almost lead to believe that he thinks a person born to wealth has some kind of right to rule....hmm.

I can see him comparing Mao favorably to Obama, though. “They’re both Communists, but at least Mao was a leader!”

Kanye West isn’t really running for President though. I can see why you’re confused, because honestly that is as plausible as anything that has happened so far.

One gets the feeling, some parts of the Republican base would love nothing more than to be ruled over by an autocratic dictator.

Which sort of explains America’s endless fascination with Hitler.

Yeah - I think they’d also start growing boners for forming alliances wih these psychos because they want to feel like America is going to go full Rambo all over the world. In this (hopefully fictional) scenario, nothing would make them happier than to nuke a socialist country that gives adequate paid parental leave.

Even though it is a culture, and it’s a cultural thing, he goes in, he takes over, he’s the boss. It’s incredible. He wiped out his father, he wiped out this one, that one. This guy doesn’t play games, and we can’t play games with him. Because he really does have Star Destroyers and he really does have a Starkiller Base.
