When is the DOJ going to work up the balls to start indicting cops and law enforcement organizations on RICO charges? There is a wealth of evidence to support them and I think they’re long overdue.

I can’t wait to buy a police car and a forensic lab at the asset forfeiture auction.

“Nor was that the only discrepancy in the initial investigation. Other video—captured on a nearby Burger King surveillance camera, which might have shown another vantage point of the events leading up to the shooting—mysteriously disappeared after Chicago PD officers visited the restaurant that same night.”

I’m certainly not on the side of the Chicago PD in this one, but it seems a little disingenuous to keep mentioning this point without mentioning that the FBI did a forensic analysis and concluded that there was no evidence whatsoever that anything was deleted.

If a tape is blank, there is no evidence that it once contained data that was deleted. It is a highly damning coincidence that a blank spot occurred after a visit from CPD and one of their IT technicians, and that the black spot coincided with the shooting and it’s aftermath. The dipshits forgot to actually erase the CCTV footage of them looking at the “missing” footage. If there was nothing on there, then why were they staring at a blank monitor for hours?

If your first sentence is accurate what do you imagine the FBIs forensic analysis to have consisted of?

We’ve somehow mixed the worst elements of Chicago politics, police departments, and Making a Murderer... I’m not even sure how to react anymore

Remember, though, that Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge #7 President Dean Angelo has assured us that cops have absolutely no reason to lie, distort, intimidate, misrepresent, etc., and that there is no such thing as a Blue Wall of Silence that protects such misbehavior:

We have kids, we have bills, we have families; and to think in 2015, with all the cameras that are around, and all the videotaping that’s going on, that a police officer is going to risk his livelihood for his family is ridiculous.

Ridiculous, guys. It’s ridiculous that we’d even suggest such a thing.

Didn’t start well either. I shudder to think about how any of these incidences happened in my lifetime growin up there that didn’t get the same treatment.

It’s going to end quietly without the police being punished, and the cops will go back to their traffic stops and secret detention centers and shooting innocent kids in the back.

      So....
-The BK camera just happened to lose footage after police messed with it.
      - The officers ‘mistakenly’ corroborated Van Dyke’s description of events
      - Senior members of the force pressured witnesses to echo Van Dyke’s description of the events
      - Rahm ordered the footage blocked right around election-time.

...but this just a few bad apples situation. I love my home city, but there’s a reason I left.

Is anyone else struggling with the fact that there is so much collusion and dishonesty over this shooting, yet nobody got rid of the dash cam footage? Can someone explain that to me? If the officers are threatening witnesses and getting higher-ups to back them in an official narrative, how did any evidence against the officers manage to survive?

And this is the system that is protected and defended by the media. Cops have such hard jobs, so hard that when they do horrible things, and intimidate witness, and subvert the basic process of justice found in most third world countries...we should throw up our hands and walk away....

-except if we do that we’ll be shot.
