According to my basic math, that puts the price per pound at over 8 grand. Which is simply ridiculous, I don't care what type of crazy cali weed you think you have, ain't nobody paying 8 grand for a pound wholesale or otherwise.

Isn’t it priced at extrapolated street value by the cops for maximum headline effect? Do people pay $20 ($18.60, if I did it right) per gram on the east coast?

Yeh that’s definitely an inflated estimate of street value. Guess things will be kinda dry along the I-83 corridor for about... 2 weeks

I know you’re being sarcastic, but in this case it would still be illegal. It’ll end up being tax evasion, just like transporting 30 gallons of alcohol or 300 cartons of cigarettes over state lines.

Yea, but there would be little to no demand for such services.

California Drug Deputy Caught With Things That Every Cop Carries, and $2 Million Worth of Weed.

Barring the $2 million elephant in the room; is it ever an issue for a cop to have his service badge and pistol out of state? I guess it has to be due to the crime committed at the time, not just that he had them.

This is what reciprocity carry laws are for.

I have two step brothers who are both out of state police officers. They pretty much always carry the badge with them wherever they go. If they drive home, they may have the pistol, but usually not if they fly home.

And they carry neither when transporting a massive amount of drugs and money across the country.

Pretty sure at least having the gun, whether it’s your service weapon or not, with that amount of drugs is a felony.

I was stationed at Beale for 7 years, so I wasn’t raised there. But I found my way to NYC via Washington DC. I was really looking for something a little bigger :)

Last I heard, they were transporting a shipment of Heroin up to Maine, but had to stop at Costco to stock up on Astroglide.

Your Honor, this was a part of a police operation established to get me undercover with a drug distribution network. I was supposed to get caught, be found guilty, and go to jail in order to be credibly taken off the police force.

So obviously, as you can see, this was in the line of duty and I should not be found guilty of these charges and sent to jail.
