Are we really doing this again?

Wasn’t all this exhaustively investigated and debunked in the 1990s? Along with all the “Hillary had Vince Foster killed” stuff?

Is the media really going to participate in just making this the same old bullshit we had to hear throughout the 90s? Until it finally culminates again with the GOP trying to figure out a way to impeach Hillary in place of Bill...?

I, for one, usually wait until I can affect the political aspirations of someone’s wife, decades later, to talk about how I was raped. Just to show there’s no political motivation, you know...

    *coughcough*TrumpSupporter*cough*

Ah well, the political trolling brigade on Gawker needs at least one article a day to really let loose on, I suppose. Let’s see if anyone can come up with something original this time, though....

How can anyone reconcile the fact that Hillary Clinton says “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported”, but gives her husband a pass? It’s not like he did it once. There are a dozen women accusing him of this. The hypocrisy is amazing, and yet it doesn’t seem to be swaying her supporters.

Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug. Like. I also think victims should be believed. But if someone were to tell me that my brother was a rapist, I'd have a really hard time with that. We want to trust and believe the people we love. Our brains work overtime to allow us to keep doing that even in spite of evidence.

The question is : does being an abuser’s wife make you complicit of his crimes? Does she have to pay for her husband’s mistakes? She has a political career of her own with plenty to be accounted for, why not discuss that instead?

Bill Clinton is a worse human being than he was President but not by much.

She doesn’t say much about how Hillary knew or tried to silence her though. Cryptic “everything you do” is teneous. Even if she thought they slept together that’s not really the same. And I'm someone who thinks that is a perfectly valid line of questioning.

Yeah, the vibe I got was definitely that she knew something sexual had happened, but believed it was consensual. Which makes sense; if she and Bill had an open marriage he might tell her about his “conquests”, especially if, like Cosby, he didn’t like to think of what he was doing as rape.

I’ve never heard anyone refer to Clinton as a bad president. Person yes. But his administration was very successful by most of the KPIs you’d use to judge such a thing: stocks, home ownership, graduation rates, debt:income levels and deficit management. His congresses were productive, downright workaholic by comparison to today.

It seems that a party claiming to care about women’s issues, would care about the multiple rapes performed by its favorite son. Unfortunately, the truth is that many democrats couldn’t care less.

Please list the multiple rapes. Because only one has been alleged. If you have important information the rest of the world has missed, we need it.

One fact that was left out of this story would add a little useful context: In 1994, Broaddrick filed an affadavit swearing that Bill Clinton never raped her (as part of the legal proceedings stemming from Paula Jones’ lawsuit against Bill Clinton).

Broaddrick later recanted that retraction — and I’m not suggesting that it proves she isn’t telling the truth now. Maybe she is. But that affadavit — together with Clinton’s denial — are apparently what contributed to the decision of many news outlets not to give more serious coverage to this story over the years.

      .

Yeah, it’s kind of funny how a piece of information that would literally be the most crucial exculpatory piece of evidence in any real-world rape case is conveniently left out of so many of the articles about this accusation.

Once you volunatarily sign a legal document for someone’s defense stating you never had any non-consensual sexual contact with them, it’s kind of hard to then have credibility years later when, flanked, funded, and supported by their political enemies, you accuse them of rape.

Someone quoted the affidavit above. That’s not what it said at all. Here’s what the affidavit actually said.

“I do not have any information to offer regarding a nonconsensual or unwelcome sexual advance by Mr. Clinton.”

I certainly feel for this woman. But, I will not blame Hillary for what Bill allegedly did. However, I WILL blame Hillary for all the other misleading statements and outright lies she’s told—on her own, on the record.

You are a lying piece of crap. Hilary has never made any misleading statements or outright lies. She is an absolutely perfect human being.

We know this to be true because she has a “D” and not an “R” next to her name.

How is this different than how Hillary might treat a volunteer whom she believed had had consensual sex with Bill? It’s just so hard to imagine him saying “I raped her,” especially when so few rapists actually think of themselves as rapists.

“When they got there, she came directly to me and talked with me and said, ‘Bill and I are so thankful for all that you do for him.’ I was just going to say yes, and leave. She took hold of my hand. ‘Everything you do.’ And it sent chills up my spine. I thought, ‘My God, this woman knows. She knows everything.’”

Hm, we’re talking about Bill Clinton, here. There’s no way in hell he went home, suddenly had a guilty conscience, and decided on his own accord to tell Hillary about his affair. Unless someone threatened him with spy photo evidence of the encounter, I can’t imagine him telling her about it...
