I don’t really see the point of dragging him in and charging him at all. Rape is one of those crimes that need immediate evidence to be proven otherwise it’s all down to who is more believable. I’m not defending the guy and I’m not saying that the way we handle rape cases isn’t Martian batshit crazy, but prosecuting any of these cases at this point would be impossible, especially with the quality of lawyer Cosby can afford to take his victims apart. I just don’t see the point.

The point is that these women want their day in court, and they deserve it. You have to look at the merits of each case, not just wave them all off because they’re “probably” not going to result in a conviction.

Exactly. When something is too difficult… Just give up. Everyone is gonna catch a bad case of the “fuck-its” every now and then. Especially in LA.

How can a person who was 16 years old at the time and drinking and at the Playboy mansion think she’s ever, EVER going to get justice in a case like this? If anybody is advising her that she will, she needs new advisers right away. What does she think is going to happen at the Playboy mansion as a 16-year-old after receiving a drink from a grown man?

I was dumb at 16. I did some shit that, looking back, was risky and not entirely safe. I was incredibly lucky that I wasn’t raped. However, had I been raped or assaulted, adult me (now, 28 years after the fact) would probably want justice. Not because I would expect to get compensation or rewards or whatever but because I would deserve it. A teen girl should not be in a place like the Playboy mansion, no argument about that. However, the same teen girl should also not be raped by predatory adults. The two facts are not mutually exclusive.

With that kind of judgement, you’d almost think she was acting like a teenager!

This isn’t how the law is supposed to work; an adult can’t rape a child with impunity simply because she put herself at risk.

Everytime I see a picture or a gif of him I cringe.

He's just nothing but a creepy asshole.

I’m irrelevantly curious about what bottled water that it for some reason.

The City of Los Angeles has nothing to do with this. It’s the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
