He was also awesome in Hawkwind. Motorhead pretty much released the same album over and over but they were always a fun listen.

Hawkwind is the band that your cool uncle who fixes Harleys for a living is into.

I'm a physician. Call it medical curiosity. It seems like such incomplete information. Of course, the outcome for him is the same regardless. RIP

Motörhead under Lemmy’s incomparably steady hand was unpretentious and unapologetic and—more importantly—loud. If you’ve ever used the word “fucking” to describe sex you’ve had, you had a Motörhead moment. They were your soundtrack whether you knew it or not.

Loudest band I’ve ever heard and I’ve heard them all. Motorhead was a whole other kind of loud, they’d hit parts of your inner ear you never knew you had.

This is the fucking eulogy Lemmy deserves. I just said somewhere else that they seemed above Headbangers Ball but didn’t act above it. Fuckin’ Aces.

That guy was the soundtrack to some pretty heavy drinking back in the day. If I wasn’t snowed in I’d go grab some dranks right now. R.I.P. good man.

I drank a fifth of Jack on St.Patty’s Day the year I turned 21. I stopped listening to Motorhead (regularly) around the same time, and haven’t been able to drink Jack since. Coincidence?

I met Lemmy at the Rainbow when I lived in LA. He bought me a jack and coke and we had a great conversation. He was a class act, and a genuinely nice person. RIP Lemmy. You will be missed.

I lived your dream. Thank you. And you’re welcome. Christy was bartending, and he and I talked about a mutual friend who worked at Cheetahs .

IOS autocorrects Motörhead to include the umlaut. That is all you need to know.
