To the surprise of no one, my families climate change denial gambit has switched from “There is no climate change” to “Global warming isn’t so bad!”

    Ignorant, glib motherfuckers

Well with only ~150 years of recorded temperatures it’s kinda hard to take anyone seriously about “global warming.” Of course the Earth is warming. And it cools. It’s been doing this for millions of years and somehow manages to keep ticking. Miraculous isn’t it?

The most startling thing is that somehow my political views came from these same family members and somewhere they hooked a right into crazy town

Checking in from southern Connecticut. It’s 55°F and climbing after two days of rain. We’re supposed to get up to 64°F today.

Despite this, my elderly relatives are still insisting that I turn up the heat.

I used to care for an elderly lady who was always pushing me to turn up the heat until I felt like a trapped dog in a car. She pouted when I insisted that 80’ means she’s not getting her way...wear a sweater.

Yeah, I was thinking of opening the windows here “across the river from DC.”

      Crazy.

On the plus side, this is great wassailing weather; in a t-shirt and sneakers instead of parka and boots, I managed to drink and eat in 4 different houses last night.

People were wearing t-shirts in the Burlington area. T-shirts! That’s something I’m not supposed to see while eating Wendy’s in my car on Christmas Eve.

Hey, thanks for cutting us out of the graphic ~ Seattle

P.S. Also, Northern Maine but no one lives there.

P.S.S. Same cold drizzle here as usual. Wouldn’t have minded a little bit of the snow that was forecast but nooooooo.
