      I’m tired. So FUCKING tired.

      I read about this stuff every single day and it doesn’t seem to get better. Any one have any ideas how we can change things. I mean really change things. Not discuss but real answers because it seems that in the US we have it less shitty but that doesn’t help anything. We are still being blamed for our rapes. We are still being told that we are worth less on the job.

      Please if you have sons or daughters teach them now that we are equal because otherwise this attitude that women are less will continue.

        The problem is so many people won’t acknowledge the shit women go through. Especially here. I got into an argument with a dude who claimed men actually have it worse in the states (specifically white, straight men) because programs like affirmative action exist. I gave him plenty of examples of sexism in modern day America, all which were met with replies like “well biologically men ARE stronger than women” or saying it isn’t sexist to blame women in the army for their own rapes just because they happened to be there. The worst part is people were actually agreeing with him.

            I guess the question is why a despot even has an “Ambassador against Gender Violence” in the first place. Is the country getting special funding or aid for having such a position? Was there some sort of pressure put on the leader by outside influence to set up such a position? Otherwise it makes no sense to even have the position exist in the first place, since the leader clearly doesn’t give a damn about gender violence.
