    I feel like lottery tickets are a shitty Christmas gift under any circumstances, but for a big shot to give scratch off tix to the crew seems like such a bummer, gift-wise.

    Like, “Oh wow, for christmas this year you got me the gift of losing at a game! And a prize of zero dollars! THANKS.”

      Who is to say this is the only thing he does for them?

      My grandpa always used to get everyone scratch tickets (and when you were over 19 booze) for their stockings. Usually grandma was in charge of the gift buying, but grandpa always did that himself. Sure, it wasn’t a lot, but it was traditional and it makes me nostalgic now. So this HJ tweet gave me all the ‘awwws.’
