I, too, have been wondering who are the Trump supporters?

Everyone on my social media is either posting pictures of cats or Trump with a Hitler ‘stache and comparisons to Naziism.

Everyone in my office is either horrified by him, thinks he’s a Clinton plant on a mission to throw the election, or silent on the subject.

All of my friends, the parents of my 2 year old’s social group are horrified.

My parents, card carrying Republicans, yearning for the Reagan years, olds say he’s awful and would never vote for him.

I hear people at Trader Joe’s nervously laugh when he’s brought up in conversation. NPR seems flummoxed.

So where the fuck are these people? What do they do? Why do they think this way? What happened to them, in their lives, that a sun-bleached, half deflated whoopee cushion can convince them that “hey remember 1933 Germany? They had some great ideas!” is the way to go?

I think the important thing to remember is that what you have typically seen throughout American history is that people aged 40+ tend to keep there true political views to themselves. I understand social media has changed that a bit, but the average person that would consider voting for Trump is not online ppsting pictures of cats.

One of my neighbors has a Trump sticker on his brand new $160,000 S600 Mercedes. They walk among us everywhere. Oh and the guy is also middle-eastern.

I fucking love that the GOP has the vapors about their base. “Why, I do declare, why is what Trump is saying so popular?” Because your party is filled with dirt leg, cousin-fucking knuckle dragging racists.

If the GOP didn’t exist, their base still would. Quit blaming the GOP for the fact that 40% of white people in the US are terrible.

Also because they spent decades telling people not to believe facts if they got in the way of what they wish were true. Oh, that easily-verifiable fact was stated by the far left Nation magazine so it couldn’t possibly true. I don’t need to even check it.

    He says what he means.

This is not a Presidential quality! My uncle Chuck also “says what he means” which is why we no longer invite him to Thanksgiving dinner.

Honesty is the best policy, solely because that policy allows the rest of us to honestly separate reasonable human beings from bile-spewing nincompoops.

I have a serious question, has politics been always this filled with vitriol and hate? I’m in my 30’s and I don’t know if it’s because when I was a little younger (20’s) I didn’t really pay that much attention or if it’s just gotten so much worse basically since Obama was elected. Anyone with insight?

It 100% got worse once Obama became president. It was cool when two white guys went up against each other, bring in the black guy and the ugliness came forward.

I am pretty sure this is a fairly recent phenomenon. With the extreme rhetoric of cable new’s/blogs and just the access to the internet it just makes things worse because anyone can post anything and people will believe that shit. And just think... Unstable individuals like the guy who shot up planned parent hood saw a video and decided to go kill people. What a time we live in...

“Let’s just bury the Constitution now and have a funeral.” You tell ‘em, lady! I thought the same thing when Republicans introduced the TSA, Homeland Security, Patriotic Act and implemented unconstitutional illegal spying programs across the nation. Wait, you were talking about Obama?

but seriously, let’s DO bury the fucker. i appreciate the fact that it like started the country and noise, but what the fuck do i care how the founding fathers would have run the country today? they are dead. we are not. this is our country and our world and if we want to ban assault rifles i don’t give two shits about the fact that they said we had the right to bare arms (which, arguably, the didn’t). kill your idols they’re dead anyway

Seriously. Why is there no Constitution-burying when Trump talks about banning an entire group of people from entering the country? Fuck these short-sighted morons. Who the fuck elected her to office? Nevermind... more short-sighted morons.

Susan DeLemus gives me a real Annie Wilkes vibe. On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind if she kidnapped Trump and hobbled him.

The nice thing about Trump is that he’s pre-hobbled.

A politician, a member of a political body, intimately involved in politics with a history of political action, lying on television with tears in her eyes accusing the president of being a liar. What kind of crazy nonsense is going on here? Does she understand that words have meaning? I'm just, que?

    “Never been involved in politics...”

You know, except for the past 2 decades when he’s either considered running or run for high political office at nearly every opportunity. Oh, and there are the countless political donations he’s made over the years.

I think this woman IS LYING!!!!!
