Were his heirs super disappointed with the Boardwalk Empire series finale, too?

You were? I loved that Jimmy’s kid stalked Nucky and offed him. Poetic justice.

To me, it smacked of the writers just giving up and ending themes they had built up over years in a slipshod whirlwind.

Tell them their inheritance is waiting for them, in the mountains of Bolivia.

LOL the gall. I actually just started Havana Nocturne, a book about the Mob’s dealings in pre-Castro Cuba and how they lost it due to the revolution.

Would this claim even be actionable since the financing for the “legitimate” hotel in Cuba was acquired through illegal means in America?

They better hope it’s not actionable. Should it be there are many others who are due compensation for wrongful death at the hands of their grandfather Meyer Lansky.

You 1990s New Yorkers remember Lansky Lounge, behind Ratner’s on Delancey Street, the ‘speakeasy’ before it was cool to be a hipster speakeasy? It was named for Lansky because he frequented Ratner’s so often. You snuck in through a dark staircase in the back. Good times.

Both ITT and GM sued the US government for damages sustained to factories owned by them in Nazi-occupied Europe from Allied bombing, while the factories were producing bombers and trucks for the Axis. Lansky’s heirs are following a traditional precedent.

Cuba, here’s the main problem with rejoining the community of nations: all the corrupt bullshit! You may as well get used to getting screwed over by petty self-righteous criminals before the IMF and World Bank really start fucking with your heads.
