    Um wat.

Donald Trump IS both mendacious and a racist. He’s even mendacious in his racism. I can’t fault Buzzfeed.

Do you have a Buzzfeed Post Quota or something?

I’m working under the assumption that Brend-O was being snarky as all kinds of hell.

To preserve our readers’ confidence that we can be fair

The insane part is that in real journalism the only “fair” thing to do for readers is to tell them the plain truth, which is that Trump is a liar.

When one side in a political conflict are corrupt liars, it is **unfair** to everyone to pretend as if journalists can’t call someone a liar and still be objective.

    Objectively, Trump is a liar.

Fox News and the GOP idiots who watch it are to blame for the idea that objective journalism means making false equivalence for every argument.

It amazes me that we, as a nation, have come to a place where it is weird for journalists to point out faults and be considered partisan. A lie is a lie is a lie.

I don’t think anyone is being served well if journos cannot point out facts, discredit liars, and put a label on the things that are conventionally recognized as hateful and bad for us.

FOX set the tone to blur the lines and sensationalize everything, and the neccisity of blogs is to snark the daylights out of FOX in order to respond coherently, so that rational people can get it. And this is because conventional news has fanned the flames of false equivalencies in order to pad a program, IMHO.

“In any case, it is disappointing to learn that BuzzFeed is unconcerned with preserving the confidence of its readers who might support Donald Trump.”

This article really was a surprise ending for me. The idea that telling the journalistic truth about political candidate because it might be upsetting to people who don’t like the sound of that truth seems to be the antithesis of ethical journalism.

I’m surprised the memo didn’t read, “Yes, but only if you do it in the form of a list containing 12 other racist from the 90s.”

So BuzzFeed now has more journalistic courage and integrity than CNN, the NYT and the rest of the allegedly liberal media. Good to know.

If objectivity is the standard of the day, then Buzzfeed should objectively say that Bernie Sanders would make the best President.

I feel like BuzzFeed is the media version of Buy n Large from Wall-E: it’s aggressively selling adorability and will, ultimately, destroy all human life on the planet.
