That logo contest is funny, it’s like they think Hydra was the good guys. But I feel like they might know where Hydra stands and still agree. They agree with cartoon villains, people!

The Republican party is fucked. Up. The. Ass.

They let Trump stay in the race, they get tainted by his Fascist brush. Dump him, he runs independent and splits the vote.

I’d almost feel sorry for Reince Pribus tonight if the whole goddam party wasn’t gleefully heading full-bore for this cliff for years.

Meanwhile, as the Reagan coalition is fracturing and the Democrats are practically guaranteed victory in 2016, the party leaders are still telling us that we have to settle for a Reagan Democrat “lesser of two evils” for “electability” reasons.

Anyone still wondering how the German people were radicalized to do what they eventually did?

It’s usually hyperbole to bring up nazis, hitler, etc., but there really are some terrifying similarities here.

It’s not even hyperbole at this point, I feel. Trump, when asked “how is your plan any different from what the Nazi’s did to the Jews” answered “you tell me” which implies that he does not see any difference...which means he thinks they are the same thing, which means he’s literally a Nazi, full fledged.

Do you think he can speak in sentences longer than just a few words? They’re so short. Mostly fragments. Barely even connected.

He also has a fairly limited vocabulary. It’s like someone who knows their ABC’s but they can’t really spell very many words.

He is really riling up the racists and this is frightening, he may not be saying it, but they are believing it and this is not going to end well. How many people thing these KKK and Neo-Nazi psychos are going to start something? If they do, can we please blame Trump because the stuff he is saying is not Freedom of Speech if it is going to start violence.

They will take no responsibility and blame it on the LIEBRIL media.

I see this more like what happened in Rwanda, when the president spoke on the radio for the citizens to kill the Tutsis. He had built up hatred against them. The citizens willingly did it. We have already had one republican call for it.

Really, it is the only thing left. Trump has called for the Muslims to be registered, to be deported, to not be allowed in. What is left for him to say, but to call for killing them? Of course, he will do it in dog whistle language, so he can deny he ever said it. This is not going to end well.

Militarily, the candidate proposed to make the American military so strong that nobody will “mess with us.”

Well if it isn’t the mentality of the US-Soviet Arms Race that lasted a mere 45 years.

It’s obvious that, when Russia and China see us ramping up military spending enormously, they’ll just sit back and say, “Well, I guess we’ll just have to settle for second best.” and not increase their spending accordingly. It just stands to ‘reason.’

Cruz is now ahead here. And yes...as far as the GOP goes, we are no longer a bellweather state. But we did go for Obama before any other state, so on that side, we’re a state to watch.

Buchannan won in 1996. (Which by the way is the election this one is most looking like. Iowa and New Hampshire scare the party base into consolidating around a centrist candidate).

Also, read Sinclair Lewis. I’m rereading It Can’t Happen Here, and it’s so much more frightening this time around. But seriously, Cruz is the one to watch. He’s the one who comes “wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.”
