      Ok.

If this turns out to be a Planned Parenthood type shooting with a Christian Sharia type doing the killing, prepare to hear nothing from Amurricans. If this turns out to be a Muslim and he shoots one person, it’ll be an endless parade of nuttiness from the GOP and the media and Obama will be impeached.

Over/under on the shooter being a mentally disturbed white man? Who was somehow able to get an automatic rifle.

I wonder how many more of these it will take before people acknowledge that gun ownership is actually a risk.

If this is terrorism, why developmentally disabled people? Why San Bernardino...not exactly a major target. This smacks of one of those anti-government types.

But will somehow not be considered terrorism, despite the fact it’s very much terrorism in aim.

    STOP SHOOTING PEOPLE.

If you wake up in the morning and think to yourself, “I’m going to get my gun and open fire at human beings.” DON’T. JUST FUCKING DON’T.

Seriously, there is no justification for this behavior or why we are tolerating it as a society.

    DON’T FUCKING SHOOT PEOPLE.

You know that rule in college where if your roommate commits suicide/dies you get to skip an exam or get all “A”s for the semester or something (this may be an urban legend)?

Do you think it would be possible to lobby successfully for similar amendments to current state sick day policies? Like any time there is a mass shooting within 100 miles of your home or workplace you should get to take paid leave to deal with the pain & suffering. Because let’s be honest, if this shit happens right down the street from you - much less if you were a witness or a witness to MULTIPLE shootings - it has to legitimately cause you some level of trauma.

And then maybe it will affect employers’ bottom lines. And then maybe the corporate lobby (the only lobby as powerful as the gun lobby) will put some pressure on Washington to stop this shit. I really don’t know what else will get it done.

That’s actually ... a decent and well thought out idea. It’s sad that the only way things will change is over money, but you’re right, only when the rich and powerful end up loosing money will anything actually be done about this shit.

If this ISIS, it’s abominable and we have to do something, like yesterday, stupid Obama.

If it’s some gun owners on a politically- or religiously-motivated rampage, then it’s just kind of a shame and that stupid Obama better not try doing anything about it.

In other words, Obama had better do something or he’d better not to anything, depending on how I’ll feel about the killers after we move beyond my preconceptions and have more information about this [unfortunate / tragic] event (or act of war).

Also, if the facts don’t fit my preconceptions, can someone feed me some talking points so I can still blame the people I don’t like? Thanks, you’re awesome!

I'm playing devils advocate here as I'm not sure but what are the gun rules in CA? This will always come up as an argument until someone shoots up an NRA meeting where we have hundreds dead because of everyone being an "expert shot" in a crowded room.

Another week, another mass shooting. Wonder how fast this one is going to be swept under the rug? I mean, unless it isn’t a white guy for once, at which case the news will be salivating about it.

(It’s sad how little faith I have in any sort of response to this shit. Let’s just keep shoving our heads in the sand instead of attempting to figure ways to curb it, that’ll fix this.)
