    I remember seeing my Dad’s mechanic’s calendars whenever I’d go into the garage as a kid, and I remember how uncomfortable I felt whenever I had to go in there. I liked the tools and all the other junk that was in there, but damn if naked lady calendars didn’t make me uncomfortable!

    Think of the mechanic I could have become, if not for those!

    I’ve never understood the defense of of those calendars, especially by women. But.... these pictures, I love. all of them are endlessly fascinating.

      I worked in an oil refinery once, and there were titty pics everywhere! Every single office, trailer, basically every indoor space was plastered with calendar girls. I don’t think it was so much about titillation so much as marking their territory, making a statement against the encroachment of women into their once all-male work environment. They were very “concerned” with how the new women perceived the calendars- I think it was a test.

      Oh, it’s definitely a “mark their territory” situation. We see you as nothing more than boobs, so don’t expect us to take you seriously kind of thing. Be one of the guys and get over it.

      I got into a fight with my brother, because his one boss had that shit plastered all over one of the common areas “she never needed to be in”, one of the female employees complained and the menz ... along with my sister in law defended the pictures.

      Because she never needed to go in there - So why should it bother her the one time she needed to go in there?!!!
