    And yet I can press a button and play reruns of Seinfeld which ended in 1998, footage of the Watergate trial, which took place in 1973 or the Kennedy/Nixon debate, which took place in 1960.

    If you have a vcr, you can watch the tape I have of the IU-Syracuse game from the 1987 NCAA championship game

    But somehow footage of something that would have been INCREDIBLY newsworthy in September of 2001 has vanished.

    So, here’s the question I haven’t heard anyone ask Trump yet: there actually WAS a report to the police of “inappropriate” celebrations in New Jersey. There were a few guys goofing off while a buddy filmed with the smoking towers in the background and a witness called it in. Turned out to be a group of deeply-immature Israelis, upon investigation.

    So, nobody thought to report any of these other, apparently massive spontaneous gatherings of Muslims?

      More to the point, say that this did happen, what would need to be investigated? That maybe those celebrating had connections to the event? Because other than that what would need “investigating” as crass and nasty as such a celebration would be?

      I don’t think, given the emotion of the day, that anyone viewing such a celebration would think it to be anything but connected in some way. That may not be right, but it’s a definite human tendency.

      Which makes me all the more convinced that it couldn’t have happened.

    I like how the only way this could be true is is every single American Muslim got some kind of secret Al Qaeda-gram newsletter first thing in the morning on 9/11 notifying them that they should be celebrating in the streets while everyone else is still scratching their heads over who the perpetrators are.

I’ll wager every submission for local broadcast Emmys in the entire country that year was dedicated to 9/11. Of course they have the videos you maroon (or would, if said video existed of course).
