So I’m thinking disability rights won’t be a major priority for the Trump administration.

On the plus side, if open ridicule comes back into fashion, there should be more jobs for us in fairgrounds and circuses.

It’s like watching Limbaugh make fun of Michael J. Fox. Jesus christ, Trump will invite Limbaugh to be his running mate, I just know it.

Of course the ‘Liberal’ media will let this slide, but when Family Guy, a goddamn satirical cartoon, makes a Michael J. Fox joke the entire news media acts like Seth MacFarlane took a piss on Reagan’s head.

Good- I feel like he’s been leaning too heavily on the racial stuff lately. It’s about time he started going after the gimps and ‘tards. No-one can accuse him of being a “one-note politician” now!

He’s going to be so embarrassed when he finds out that the presidential biography he thinks he’s borrowing ideas from is actually just a copy of Mein Kampf some prankster wrapped in a Ronald Reagan book sleeve.

The look on the other reporters’ faces at 51 seconds is amazing and basically me whenever my grandfather brings up politics.

Do we think there is anything Trump will do that his supporters will consider crossing a line? Insult minority voters - check. Insult immigrants - check. Insult the physically disabled - check. Insult women - check. What’s next?

As I said, this dude could be discovered in his very own underground kiddie porn dungeon and his supporters would still question why the “liberal media” is targeting him.

One would think it would be possible to be angry, conservative, anti-government, and pro-business without being suckered by this kind of feckless fascist punk.

It is. That vote won’t get out for any of the R candidates. How many will sit it out entirely?

You know, I was just looking at Nate Silver’s blog post about the current Republican polls. According to him, we are looking at a situation where 80% of likely conservative voters remain undecided, which means that Trump’s current lead is based on something like 5% of the party.

I exhaled with relief on reading that. But I will be curious what happens when we get closer to the primary votes.

Man. Other people have said this already, but can you imagine if Barack in 2007/2008 or Hillary today had done 1/10th of the bigoted, racist, discriminatory, assholish things that Trump or Carson have already done? Their campaigns would be TANKED. They would be destroyed from the left and the right. Can you IMAGINE if Hillary had made fun of/imitated someone with a musculoskeletal disorder? Yet they are solidly leading in the polls. I don’t understand it and it disturbs me. I think, somehow, that GOP voters are even more demented than my pearl-clutching liberal mind could have imagined.

ETA: Her “I’m not having one fucking bit of this” face next to Scarborough makes the whole clip though. That needs to be immortalized in meme.

Because if Obama or Clinton (either one) had done it, it would be shocking. For Trump, it’s just one of many offensive things in a day. It doesn’t surprise his supporters - and let’s face it, it’s the reason they support him.

THIS. My cousin is a yoooge trump supporter and the main reason is because he doesn’t want to be ‘politically correct’. He thinks it’s bullshit that he can’t call people retards and use racial slurs in public. He basically wants to be an asshole without people shaming him and instead of being introspective he blames it on people being ‘oversensitive’.

Frankly, Joe Scarborough, I think the media is UNDER-reacting to Donald Trump because he should have been shamed all the way back to Germany where his grandfather was born at this point with everything he has said.

On a late night talk show, the host joked with his guest, President Obama, that Obama could be in the Olympics. And Obama quipped back, “Special Olympics.”

Republicans lost their minds. Bet Trump’s impression doesn’t bother them.

To be expected. Obama makes a self-deprecating joke and is treated as Satan. Trump outright insults and attacks everyone who isn’t a “normal” male American Christian and gets treated as a saviour.

Also Obama didn’t spend the next few news cycles after that whining about freeze peach - he basically said, “I definitely could have found a better way to say that, it was a stupid joke guys, sorry bout that.”

Does it seem to anyone else like Trump is actually sabotaging his campaign lately? At first, he wouldn’t touch the birth certificate stuff, now he’s going around calling Obama a Muslim. Then he lied about at least two parts of his 9/11 experience. Now he’s mocking a reporter for a disability. All this after hinting that he’ll go back on a pledge not to run as a third party.

Something tells me this all went farther than he really envisioned it and he's actively trying to drive his campaign in to the ground.

I don’t think he ever intended to be president and he still doesn’t. His campaign is a publicity one. I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes out with a Glenn Beck style tv show on Fox when this is all over. He has a built in market and loves the limelight and being able to say any crazy thing that pops into his head to an adoring audience.

I agree that he’s probably not in this to win it, but a gig on Fox News isn’t his end game. He could have had that without the campaign. I personally love the theory that he's a Clinton sleeper agent.
