That photoshop is so shitty. How did anyone buy it?

And what was taking the picture if that was a Koran? There is no other person with a camera reflected in the mirror. And it is taken straight on. Did they think it was a Koran with a camera? I mean I know fact checking is a thing of the past for most newspapers. But a second of thought wouldn’t hurt.

I get the impulse. He has such a sweet face and seems kind of like a goof in the pic. And a lot of the rhetoric around ISIS is how familiar and “normal” many of the members seem in contrast to their actions. That’s why there are so many stories on their SM habits. So, it’s a perfect picture from that POV (despite the not even being Muslim).

But... a Koran camera?

Video Games.

These people do and say the things they do because they’re obsessed over goddamed video games. An unchecked mental fixation over toys for your television has warped the minds of these people to think this behavior is not only acceptable, but *necessary* in order to protect their doritos and mountain dew.

I can get religious fundamentalism, or abject racism. I understand, on some level, how the life experiences and groups/family people grew up in can lead to those horrible ideologies, but I will never in a thousand years grasp how video games and their reviews could ever lead to human beings like this.

  To be completely fair, these people don’t do what they do because they’re obsessed over video games - they’re actually obsessed with their rabid hatred of women. The “ethics in game journalism” or anything else having to do with games, is just a convenient outlet for their hatred, but the hatred itself is the fuel that’s running their machine.

I kind of feel this is “trolling” in the same way that SWATing game streamers is “trolling.”

That puts him individually, as well as other Sikhs in being more in danger as a target than they already are, because people of course don’t know the difference between one turban wearing group from another (not that targeting random Muslims is OK either, but Sikhs have absolutely nothing to do with it).

and LOL for gamergate people still trying to pretend their movement is about “ethics in gaming journalism.” Does anyone - on either side - really still believe that at this point?
