Yes, someone who came over with the Syrian refugees was involved in these terror attacks. So were three French citizens. So was someone who came over from Belgium. Are we going to limit immigration from those countries as well or nah because White people?

Let’s look at the numbers...how many Syrian Refugees has Germany taken in? How many terrorist attacks have they experienced?

I don’t think it’s the refugees, it has to do more with how the French government treats and disenfrenchises their population that lives in the country from their former colonies. They’re basically the equivalent of US Mexicans living in US. When you know that the country that you live in treats you differently than the civilians based on your skin color and ethnic background, it’s easy for someone like ISIS to come in and pluck the youth off the streets to do their bidding.

      In short..I agree with you.

It’s probably best not to let anyone into texas. For safety.

But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

      Leviticus 19:34

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

These Republican governors just care SO much for your safety, you guys. Stop being unfair. That’s why most of them oppose expanded background checks, and Medicaid expansion, and environmental protections, and increased regulation of explosive fertilizer plants, and...

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Nex Mexico, build the danged fence, already! Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for another Texan to enter the White House.

That is surprising since it is often poor, destitute and religious who are easily convinced of intolerance and hate in the neo-conservative message.

This is a falsehood. It’s commonly believed because it makes sense to people who don’t really think about it but extremist views are actually linked more to the middle class than to the poor. The poor have enough problems just getting enough to eat and surviving. This has been found in multiple studies.

Sadly, it’s not. One of the core tactics of neo-conservatism is getting those poor, destitute and religious folks to hate and fear the other. This has nothing to do with security. It has everything to do with pandering to their core constituencies. They know what they’re doing.

Governor Abbott, quite frankly, doesn’t have a leg to stand on on this issue given his criminal negligence in governing his state.

ISIS wants to foment anti-Muslim sentiment and draw the West into a war because the clash-of-civilizations theme is resonant with their self-narrative.

I see Republicans are happy to oblige.

So in order to prevent us from falling figuratively for ISIS tactics, we need to fall literally for ISIS tactics by providing them easy routes to infiltrate our country and attack us!

They already have a route in - the internet. ISIS does a lot of recruiting online and, sadly, lots of people from Western countries seem to be buying into their brand of crazy. I believe at least one of the terrorist was a Belgium citizen who was a second-generation immigrant from Syria. Look at the people who’ve actually left their home countries to join ISIS. They don’t have to rely on just refugees when they can use radicalized people who are already citizens.
