      Oh god good question.

A-listers, I think. Because they get more public attention and fawning and they’re more recognizable - so they start to think their shit really doesn’t stink.

Whoever the last speaker was . . . I thought you were a bit condescending to us actors . . . celebrities.

Fucking children. “People know who I am, so everyone should bow to me.”

The best part about the Internet age is that it has exposed to the world that there are zero people to look up to. This is a good thing.

Actually, now we just have ourselves to look up to. On Instagram. And Youtube. It is the age of the common celebrity.

      Selfies!

The point is, with how word can travel, you see “warts and all” for every person—famous or not. It’s great

This post is based on a BS premise, which is that De Niro is the villain here and not Butterfield. Listen, it’s BS.

He used to be a great actor. But his career has really gone into a tailspin since he got desperate and started doing comedies like Meet the Parents, Analyze This and This Boy’s Life.

yes, those terrible comedies are making me realize maybew he wasn’t ever that great of an actor — really played one kinda guy, the brooding kind. almost like al pacino, who really now only ever seems to have played the one character, a charismatic type.

makes me appreciate meryl streep more and more.

Yeah, because there’d just been a slough of great directors offering him scripts similar to Godfather II, The Deer Hunter, and Taxi Driver since he’s been doing these comedies.

The key to enjoying DeNiro is to pretend he passed away shortly after making HEAT.

Same goes for Pacino. Heat was really the career peak for both of them and their subsequent roles didn’t really live up to it or any work they did before Heat.

The quality of their roles after that just seemed to go down the crapper and it was as if they’d make any movie that had a twenty dollar bill stapled to the script cover.

Wait wait wait... did you seriously just try to say Pacino and De Niro PEAKED when Heat came out?

So you’re just going to ignore Taxi Driver, the first two Godfather movies, The Deer Hunter, Carlito’s Way, Scarface, Serpico and ICan’tBelieveWe’reEvenHavingThisDiscussionAreYouOutOfYourMind? I’m not even going to continue, because ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I hope Micheal Mann is your uncle or something, because there’s no other excuse for being so incredibly wrong about motion picture history.

Listen, tech guy: What if you do got me boxed in and I gotta put you down? Cause no matter what, you will not get in my way. We’ve been face to face, yeah. But I will not hesitate. Not for a second.

Right? And it’s been such a precipitous decline. In the fairly recent past he seems to have gone from zero to jackass pretty quickly.

De Niro, up next, growled, “Whoever the last speaker was . . . I thought you were a bit condescending to us actors . . . celebrities. I’m gonna go on record with you just to say that. And I don’t give a f - - k who you are.”

Well, I see Bobby D got sick of pissing on his acting legacy, and moved on to being a walking Frankenstein-ian combination of celebrity ego fused with elderly crankiness.

Well done, Bobby D! Get your gold star on the Mallwalk of Fame!
