Jeb Bush, in the gritty remake of.....”My So Called Campaign”!

(Jeb closes locker, leans and mopes against it): ‘I dunno, man. I mean, they’re just so mean when they ask me all those questions! It’s like they want me to fail!"

The retro soundtrack is going to be great. I hope they fill it with tracks of artists who do not want to be associated with R campaigns, such as....well, all of them.

They’ll go with, in no particular order:

      Old skool country ballads

      the Lawrence Welk singers

death metal songs from Neo Nazi skinhead bands

      Flight of the Valkyries

Jesus Fucking Christ. Get this guy some Lexepro and a good therapist.

All he would have to say is ‘I’m disappointed in you’ and it would send me into a deep spiraling depression for days”

And yet your idiot brother bounced around like he didn’t have a care in the world while he let Cheney & Company fuck up this country, destroy another, and thousands of innocent people die.

Are they the Bush Family or the Borgias?

It’s becoming increasingly clear that there were two powerful father-son dynamics at play in the old Bush household.

Poppy believed in Jeb, and expected so much from him that the pressure of those expectations have overwhelmed him. Sort of like a GOP version of Todd Marinovich. Imagine the pressure of living up to your dad’s expectation that you could be president, when your old man was, in fact, the president.

The other dynamic was that the folks thought W was an idiot wastrel, which actually motivated him to overcome their doubts, and get himself appointed President, where he would go on to prove his parents were right in the first place, and heap even MORE pressure on Jeb to redeem the family name.

Deep spiraling depression indeed. I feel sad for him.

    Holy shit.

Jeb! is the most inept campaigner I have ever, ever seen. (or he just doesn’t want to be there)

“All he would have to say is ‘I’m disappointed in you’ and it would send me into a deep spiraling depression for days”

Has he ever even heard of Thomas Eagleton?

    Jeb! is done.

I’m struggling to decide whether Jeb! is a moderate Republican in the traditional sense, or if the slack-jawed yokel “insurgent” wing of the party has moved SO far right that he looks like Nancy Pelosi by comparison even though he himself is possibly far-right. Recognizing the law of the land regarding gay marriage/ Kim Davis; pathway to citizenship for undocumented workers; typical GOP views on societal safety nets...am I crazy or is he fairly centrist relative to his party’s past two decades? He certainly seems to be on par with McCain, Dole, or Romney, rather than Buchanon, Santorum, or Bachmann, and would therefore be at least a more stomachable Republican in office than say Cruz or Carson. Please tell me I’m crazy.

He’s definitely a moderate. You just wouldn’t know it because the media portrays every Republican as Hitler.
