      I had a “huh?” moment as well. I’m from Ohio, and I’ve been seeing that weird mascot for at least a few months now. Not exactly timely.

      Unrelated: I really want marijuana legalized in Ohio, but I also dislike how they’re trying to do it (amendment to the state constitution that gives exclusive growing rights to only ten sites). We seem to like legistlating through constitutional amendment in Ohio—probably because our legislature sucks so bad—but I still hate that that has become de rigueur. So, I’m torn.

      There are two proposals here in Michigan, one of which is similar to the one you guys are going to vote on. The first is a Republican and business backed initiative, which is just a sly way to give a monopoly to a few growers. The progressive backed one would allow for much more personal growth and use. Fortunately, the Republican backed petition drive quit collecting signatures last month, which makes our job easier if they don’t start it back up.

      In actuality, BOTH could end up on the ballot - and either is assured of passing - and whichever one gets the most votes would cancel out the other one according to what I’ve heard of state election law. Hopefully, the corporate Republican backed one won’t start back up trying to get on the ballot.

    So is this story introducing the replacement mascot for the dank ass weed mascot that Gawker told us was fired two weeks ago? Either way, someone is probably smoking a little two much bud if they think the mascot was introduced this week.
