      The co-pilot, who survived, later said that the flight crew knew the Israeli jets wanted them to land but relations between Israel and Libya made them decide against following instructions.

      Flying into somebody’s airspace, without warning, and ignoring the directions of the jets scrambled to meet you, is problematic.

    I love Egypt. One of my favorite places on earth.

    Because of the economy, Muscovites can no longer afford to come to Thailand anymore. So, Russian commercial flights to Al Arish Sinai are absolutely packed right now. Fast and dirt cheap.

    Dangerous airspace? Yeah, but I am fairly sure that ISIS doesn’t have any BUKs locally, and... FIM-92 Stingers (a shitload in that area) simply do not go that high, not even close.

    Maybe it’s just another quick turn-around crappy Russian plane that fucked up... hmm? Prolly.
