Listen, folks... As a Canadian, I have found the antics of les fils Ford troubling in the extreme. But as he’s a human being, a father and a suffering person, we should all try to be (in the words of Jerry-Nethelander) mensches and wish him the best. I’m not a doctor but from what I’ve read about non-familial cancers, any of us could be at the mercy of a random mutation - so let’s be unGawkerish and be kind.

Anyone that choose to live their life as ford does, surely must know it will all catch up with you.

He’s mobidly obese, drinks to excess and abuses drugs......there are consequences.

No one chooses to live that way. It’s called addiction.

    Oh, Rob!

(Seriously, this is horrible, and Ford is much more fun to make fun of than feel sorry for.)

Why is it horrible? Given how well he treats his body, this falls well inside “expected outcome”.

Cancer is horrible for anyone; it’s never expected at 46 years old, not for those with substance abuse problems or anyone else . Try to be a mensch.

Ben Carson once tried to perform surgery on a friend named Bob by stabbing him in the abdomen. He’s a brain surgeon. I think he can handle this as long as Rob doesn’t have any belt buckles on.

Did you really skip the fact that the rare cancer he had was actually fat cancer? As in he for real had cancer of fat cells.

Lean and active person who survived “fat cancer.” 3 pretty brutal surgeries later I don’t have a portion of my body you probably do. The difference? Bad luck.

Probably time to just hang up the keyboard for tonight. You're out of your element, Donnie.

liposarcoma isn’t a cancer due to ‘excess’ of fat cells, it can occur anywhere in the body with fat tissue, and is often genetic, found in children and adults, notably those who are not overweight as well, as your amount of body fat doesn’t make you most likely.

What’s the next up for you in cancer ‘fun’, penis cancer? Anal cancer?

Speaking from experience, few things are more frightening than a cancer diagnosis. I sincerely hope he is okay.

AND HOLY SHIT HE’S ONLY 46?

      Damn. I look great!

Good luck to him, but for most of us Torontonians, it’s a surprise that no tumors have yet been discovered in his cranium.
