These are two guys I hate, but is this outcome actually good?

I think that having CIA in Syria to train people to fight Assad was a mistake and now we can bring them home. So that’s good. I think that ISIS is maybe the worst group on earth [maybe outside the Republicans] and now Putin is completely destroying them. So that’s good. Now we can finally bring our troops home from Iraq so that’s good.

Now we just need Assad to go away, I think. Honestly I never really cared much about Assad or Syria before and probably still don’t. But I do like that Russia is destroying ISIS for us and we can bring our troops home from Iraq hopefully.

It depends on your feelings toward genocide.

Seems like the smart thing to do is help Assad, use him to pull in and kill as many terrorist groups as possible and then just assassinate him and replace him with a puppet dictator that you can control to make things better for the general population.

The problem is that he’s not killing the right “terrorist” groups. He’s targeting the more secular free Syrians and not ISIS, Daesh, etc.

I know there’s not much by way of geopolitical commentary here, but Putin is such a dick.

The world would be a far better place without Assad. And Putin.

The U.S. does not want Assad, who has been accused of using chlorine gas on his own civilians, to have any significant role in a political transition.

Frankly, it’s not up to the United States who has a significant role in a political transition in Syria. It’s up to the Syrian people. The Unite States already did quite a bang up job of propping up puppet governments in Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Maybe they should quite while they’re ahead.

Check out the body language on Putin. When leaders have pictures taken together they are usually facing each other, with their heads turned to face the camera, ala Assad. Not Putin. He is in no way facing Assad. He has his hand stuck out sideways for the shake and is full on facing the camera and even his other arm is extended. His expression and body language is somewhere between “come at me, bro” and “I wanna sex you up”.

“Here in the Kremlin, first we fight and then we fuck. Get ready tall man, I’m about to show you what I call ‘the Napoleon Putin position’”

Pretty sure Vladmir rolls around with James Brown’s Sex Machine playing in his head.
