Maybe I’m just really dense, but I don’t see how this applies, as she was murdered with a rock.

Morbid Halloween decorations are becoming so realistic that it might just be a matter of time before you learn that the nice guy down the street who goes all out with Halloween decorations every year was displaying actual severed heads of prostitutes he killed.

The teenagers down the street built six giant crude crucifixes and have these hyper realistic mutilated bodies hanging from them, and at night they are lit up by six spotlights. My 4 year old son asked me what I thought had happened to “those guys that are pretend dead” and I kind of panicked and said “maybe they tripped and fell down?” and my son was like, “What the fuck that can happen from tripping?” (minus the WTF part).

Jesus. I am all for people getting into the spirit of the holiday but something like that in a residential area may be a bit much.

Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy my life-size, lawn diorama of the Sandy Hook school shootings.

...there’s a suspected serial killer on the loose in the area, but cops don’t think this case is related.

HOW IS THIS A POSITIVE DETAIL?!? That just means that there is still another killer out there. It would be fantastic if this killing was related, because then they would have stopped the serial killer.

I believe Gabrielle is referring to the potential opportunity for folks in Chillicothe to view still more highly-realistic Halloween decorations.

It’s weird how everything to do with Halloween has become increasingly more and more morbid. Maybe I’m alone in this, but I really dislike the gore and find it pretty disgusting, like it literally makes my stomach churn seeing some of these decorations they are doing now. I remember when it was a much more light hearted affair with smiling ghosts and pumpkins, you might have some menacing looking creatures like a witch or something - but it wasn’t like full blown realistic looking corpses or something.

I wonder if this is just an example of how desensitized we’ve become to that sort of thing.

There’s a house I pass on my way home from work who is having some trouble with their Halloween decorating theme- almost everything is glittery pumpkins in purple and black and cute bats and a couple signs of the Mary Englebright-style of witch pictures and right in the middle of it is one hanging dementor/death thing. It just makes no sense.

      Yeah.
She’s also just been arrested, so that’s probably not helping. But some people never get a real shot at life at any point.

What the hell is it with guys named “Donnie?” Do their mothers know they’re going to turn out to be assholes and name them appropriately, or does the name itself turn them dark?

“Rebecca didn’t deserve that, what happened to her,” Denise Hughes, who is raising Cade’s young child, told the Columbus Dispatch. “She was always running the streets and always doing the drugs, but she had people who loved her.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, Cade had a 15-month-old son, Bryan, who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome and now lives with his aunt, Denise Hughes, after Cade “lost interest” in him.

well, this story. it. well. fuck.

So to clarify . . . guy murders a woman by brutally beating her to death with a rock, then hangs her on a fence as a public display. But there’s no possible way guy could also be the serial killer who is terrorizing the exact same area?

Can’t argue with the logic here.

I don’t think he hung her there purposely. I think her arm got hung up on the fence in the course of the attack.

Other passersby apparently made the same mistake, as the woman’s sleeve had caught on the fence leaving her body dangling in front of it.

It’s not like you can’t have unrelated murders in an area where a serial killer’s operating. Hell, out on Long Island, they found a serial killer dumpsite, then upon further review determined it had been used by two separate serial killers. Neither of whom has been identified, much less caught.
