My family is godless. The other day we parked near a church. My 3-year old son said, “whoa, dad, is that a castle?” As a father, I’ve never been more proud.

When my son was about 4, we walked by a church that had a statue of Jesus on the cross outside. My son turns to me and says "Mom, who IS that guy? I see him *everywhere*."

I have a strange stomach condition that requires me to eat an extremely high fiber diet. I typically hit my daily recommendation for fiber around noon. And I even have recipes that I cook in which the entire meal is about 150% of the daily recommendation.

Do you mean to tell me I could be posting updates on youtube of how I am coming along each day? And I could have twitter updates? And officials songs? Like “Deuce” by Kiss?

And in case you are wondering, typically about 4 times a day.

You’re joking, but truth is, you can. You really, really can. And it would probably be successful. Youtube is my main source of viewing. I stopped watching TV years ago. I mostly watch gaming videos, but I notice more and more diet channels coming up. There’s a lot of niche channels that rake in Youtube cash.

You could title the videos things like, “Officially on food baby watch!!!” Your Instagram could document the hourly/daily changes in size and shape. God gave you this ability, you should use it for the good of America. I say DO IT.

So basically, these people would be the Kardasians if E Network was run by Ned Flanders.

Even Ned Flanders would find these people’s to be too permisive to be Christian.

Yeah, that’s the thing. These people see a market for the “alternative Christian” version of reality television, since these good American evangelicals would never watch the non-edifying devil’s television. This is the “Christian contemporary music” version of reality TV.

I’m 6 weeks pregnant. I wonder if I can get my husband to go along with creating a satanists youtube chanel and document our child’s gestation in birth to bring in the sweet, sweet, dollars.

Maybe we can start with a pregnancy test reveal where we both scream “Nooooo! Not again! Fuck!!!!” and then play rock, paper, scissors to decide if we’re going to keep it or have an abortion.

Mm, that would taste great. Has the right amount of cynicism and tongue-in-cheekiness.

Think of the number of views you’d get simply based on outrage alone. Though be cautious, the Christian hatred brigade really likes swatting and threatening to kill people.

I’m going to give my wife a facial, then show her a negative pregnancy test. We’ll vlog the whole journey from sticky eyebrows to her telling me I need to change my diet.

So if they’re getting “hundreds of thousands” of youtube views by showing the “entire gestation”, they ought to realize they’d get millions of hits if they posted the conception, instead.

If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. The fact is, there’s an audience for this type of thing. These people know that and if they can make a living off it, why not? We’ve become a world of over-sharers. It’s just that some have figured out how to get paid a lot of money doing what most others are doing for free. I’ve literally watched my cousin’s baby grow up and I’ve only met him irl once. He's six years old. Everything is on Instagram or Facebook. As far as I know, my cousin has not made a dime because of it. Id rather these nice people than the Kardashians who are making a killing doing the same thing.

It’s still exploitive of their kids. Being some idiot in BFE doesn’t change that.

No argument there. Some people are ok with exploiting their kids for some cold hard cash.

It sure would be nice but I’ll gladly settle for a direct hit from a coronal mass ejection rendering our power grid useless. Imagine the sweet schadenfreude of knowing a billion people can’t log into Facebook, tweet a thoughtless tweet, or shoot another inane selfie.

As long as you give da big G all the credit for your success and claim “He” has led you on this path (to Youtube), it’s all good.
