      I hope so. As for him “leaking” the story to Dowd, talk about provocative wording. How about he “told” the story to Dowd. He told it to other people too, and Politico even said that. It was basically reported in the WSJ in June. He and Dowd go way back, so it’s not surprising he would talk to her about it. You know Biden....he’s a talker and he wears his heart on his sleeve. Of course he’s a politician, but that part is genuine.

    There’s not much to say about the obvious craven cynicism and moral repugnance of this ad...

    So instead I will note how interesting it is that Joe Biden has gotten a lot hotter as he’s aged. I don’t think it works this way as often for women, but for men it seems that there are two distinct categories of hotness: hot young studs (who don’t typically age well) and hot elder statesmen (who were kinda “meh” in their younger years).

    Category 1:

    • Jude Law
    • Vince Vaughn
    • Johnny Depp
    • Bill DeBlasio


    Category 2:

    • Brad Pitt (unpopular opinion: I think he looked too tender when he was young but is smokin’ with some manly crags on his face age...but if you prefer, then Clooney)

    • John Slattery
    • Joe Biden

    And then there’s Paul Newman who is just in his own category of being impossibly beautiful from cradle to grave.
