I assume that this guy was out for a ride and the fact he’s now trying to get above the water is a testament to how fast the flooding happened. Wow.

Honestly, I think he’s testing the depth and thinking. “I could bike in that. It’s not so deep.”
In an outrageous French accent though, obv.

I guess. I just got a little confused as to why he’d be there. Carrying his bike down the stairs for a ride is possible. The street in the background looks clear. Maybe he lives upstairs and wanted to see if you could make it around that little corner. You’re probably right.

Y’all realize that South Carolina is actually underwater with people dying as well right now.... right? Because its getting bad down here. And as per usual when something happens in the South, no media coverage except by local stations.

“...three people died when their car was trapped in a tunnel.”

Going to walk the dogs now and try to forget about that horrific scenario.

On a cuter note, here is my friend’s dog attending to a victim (that was left in the garden overnight) in Antibes

Wow. South Carolina is a massive mess and you’re talking about France? Seriously? You suck.

To be fair, not all people in that area are rich idiots. What evacuation plans were in place? The article says this was the worst flash flooding these people ever knew. South Carolina is ‘a massive mess’, but that does not negate these folks’ difficulty. It means that our FEMA, such as it, is must respond to SC and that the government of France must respond there.

You’ve probably seen it by now, but Gawker has since put this story up: Historic Flood Disaster Unfolding in South Carolina After Two Feet of Rain Reported.
