Is it just me or does a Yorkie seem incongruous with a pickup truck?

The Yorkshire Terrier is a small dog breed of terrier type, developed in the 19th century in the county of Yorkshire, England,[3] to catch rats in clothing mills, also used for rat-baiting.

i know I named a cat Toonces after this sketch... how many other Toonces existed?

Mine didn’t drive a car, but he did survive a coyote attack which broke his jaw in two places. After the vet put him back together, he looked like he was sneering (he decided to just eat his food after a single meal of me shoving wet food down his throat, which may have contributed to it not healing square). He looked like Edgar G. Robinson...

I call bullshit on this one. Why?

    1. You can’t take the truck out of park without the ignition on.
    2. You can’t take the truck out of park without defeating the shift lock (button on floor shifters, pulling the lever back with column shifters)
    3. You can’t take the truck out of park without your foot on the brake.

What adult belives a dog is capable of any of this? Assuming someone has driven a car fitted with an automatic transmission made in the last 20 years, you know what it takes to get a car out of gear.

Unless he left it running with the car in gear (or in neutral without the parking brake) this is an impossible feat.*

*If this happened to be one of the rare Silverados with the 5-speed manual, I suppose the dog might have been able to knock it into neutral if the car wasn’t running. Neutral, not into gear. Espeically if it was running.

Either way, it’s not the dogs fault. This is 100% driver error. He didnt’ properly secure his vehicle before stepping out. I hope his insurance company is aware of that.

As a previous Yorkie owner (Nina passed away in December at the age of 13, rest her little soul), I can attest that Yorkie’s are most definitely assholes. I miss that little asshole every day.

Dr. Science has a thing about yorkshires and considers them one step up from worms, who in the next stage of reincarnation may be “reborn as a Yorkshire terrier, lawyer or start-up entrepreneur.”

      Harsh.

Yes! Having grown up with several terriers this is one of my favorite Kids in the Hall songs. I hear it in my head every time I see a dog wearing a bandana.

See, this is why you buy a stick, dogs have yet to master the art of clutch control (although, to be fair, neither have most Americans).

So the tiny Yorkie “bumped” the shifter of a Silverado from park into neutral, by pulling straight back on it a couple of inches with a good deal of force and dropping it down. I guess the little guy forgot to set the parking brake too. I smell something. Beer.

Actually, I’m pretty sure that has a console shifter, which would make this possible.
