“some of the most inspirational women on the radar today

Rose says her interview was done eight months ago, and makes “no sense” now.

She does have a point. It makes no sense to lump her in with women who are inspirational. Or with women who are still on the radar, really.

Or with actresses tbh. I saw her season of OITNB.

Even if it was just a list of women who could ennunciate words she wouldn’t belong on the list.

Considering everyone keeps saying that traditional print media is in its death-throes, there seems to be a crapload of magazines that I’ve never, ever seen anywhere.

There are just so many magazines I’ve never heard of. If this wasn’t a story I wouldn’t even be aware of this magazine or this issue. This is such a crappy situation. Wonder if the magazine will pull the issues.

Doubt it. I’m wondering if there was some misunderstanding about contracts that were signed. Will be interesting to see if the magazine with defend itself more than basically “lol, no, everything is fine, Ruby Rose.”

By “Girl Power,” they must mean the magazine’s profit mill is fueled by crushing the agency and independence of girls.

i read this whole thing and i still have no idea whats going on. What im getting is that she freed the nipple and now the nipple is appearing on magazines on its own. If the nipple was freed cant it do what it wants.

Also i hate saying nipple its just one of those words i hate the sound of.

Insider point-of-view. Well kinda. I used to work for this magazine as an “intern” and while I understand that internships are quite tough and you have to take ‘em with a go-getter attitude; I was highly disappointed with this so called “magazine.”

First off, I would like to point out that I am not at all surprised that the EIC or her magazine was behind this. Regardless if it were a photographer shooting in LA while Untitled is in an apartment in NY, that doesn’t matter. It’s still on the magazine and it’s ultimately their fault for not reading over the contracts and getting permission. The entire magazine is run by the EIC, sprinkle a few unpaid interns and dab a little pay-per-shoot styling and you get Untitled. Props to her for pulling her contacts and getting some reputable celebrities but she clearly didn’t cross her “t’s” and dot her “i’s” here.

P.S. You do have the EIC’s comments on the ordeal. That’s her speaking on the twitter account. Or the unpaid intern sitting in her apartment as they release an 8-month old magazine.

It doesn’t matter in the slightest whether she has a signed agreement not to use photos with nudity. The fact is that she doesn’t approve of this nudity and didn’t want these photos published. That should be enough.

Fuck this untitled piece of shit magazine for pretending to care about women and publishing a “girl power” issue. Fuck them for denying wrongdoing when at the very least they could offer a sincere apology for the wrong. Fuck them for capitalizing on the controversy to further disseminate and profit off of images that the woman pictured finds exploitative.
