    I think Trump is where he is for several reasons;

    1) We all know a lot of people are Republicans because they see them as the “winners”, the affluent, the successful people, the hard workers, etc. and that’s who they want to be associated with. What better personification of that is Trump, a famous billionaire who’s brand is “I’m a winner and everyone not with me is a loser”?

    2) He has all the vitriol and hate that is required by the hard right. He taps into white anger, is unabashedly sexist and racist, and even had the “courage” to publicly call Obama on being born in Kenya after all.

    3) Because he is a billionaire and beholden to no one, they think he’s finally the guy who will actually do all the insane shit they want to do - build a 100 foot electrified wall on the border, deport all the illegals, bomb Iran, tell China to go fuck themselves.

      I’m not so sure Hillary could beat him. Biden has a real shot, but I think Hillary is too damaged and boring. That being said, I think these poll numbers showing him so far ahead are a falacy. Of course people that still use land-lines and are home during the day are dumb as shit.

He wanted it in the past, and his name would bring on some weird allies from the republican side of the USA. 4 years of trump grandstanding is the price we would pay for a final fix to healthcare....       You know it’s true. He’s come out in favor of the single payer system. That would fix a LOT of problems. Bernie sanders wouldn’t have a chance in hell of getting past congress. But trump... trump could pull a few republicans in and along with the dems could get it done.
