      There was an incredibly abusive troll around here last week who told moriarty’s ringtone that she was probably “too ugly” for him to rape, but even if she weren’t, it wouldn’t be rape anyway because his good looks and charm would be literally irresistible.

      The worst part is, it’s not even that hard to figure out his mindset. I know that I’ve personally gotten away with a lot of nonsense based solely on how I look; with nothing to check one’s ego it's fairly easy to have the attitude that that troll you encountered does.

      Right? I didn’t listen to the interview but this comment from Jezebel’s article yesterday certainly makes it sound like he thought they were all liars (especially the words “all of them”):

      “I believe he was in relationships with all of them and then he’s like, ‘You know what? [Cosby is] 78. It don’t work like that no more. I can’t get it up for any of y’all. Bye, bitches,’ and then they’re like, ‘Oh, really? Rape!’”

    I don’t understand what the people saying “innocent until proven guilty” about the Cosby issue want out of this. Hasn’t the statute of limitations passed for all of his victims? So in these people’s minds, if Cosby raped every single one of these women he would be forever considered “innocent” because he hasn’t been proven guilty in a court of law? What?

      As awful as it is to accept, that is the concept of habeus corpus and as anybody with an Amnesty International membership knows, rights ain’t rights unless you defend them for those you find abhorrent as well as those you think are cool.

      That doesn’t mean you can’t hold an opinion on his likely guilt. Everybody’s pretty convinced about Jimmy Savile.

      Like... He’s being treated as innocent until proven guilty by the government. Since when does the public have to treat everyone as innocent until proven guilty? And is this just on rape? Or can we use that for everything? Anytime one of these fools says something about some “bitch” they know who did something (like sperm jacking lol), let’s ask where the conviction is. It’s these same people who think freedom of speech means no one can criticize anything you say. Fucking ridiculous and fundamental misunderstanding of basic concepts.

    Damon got exactly what he wanted out of this situation —people talking about him.

    He spouted ridiculous, insane nonsense about Cosby that he knew people would parse and criticize. The result? People remembering that he exists and keeping his name in the press for a few days.

    Why else would anyone who is not related to him be talking about him?
