“For now we’re left to wonder”

You could just put that at the end of every story on Clinton’s email, since they all follow the same pattern of speculation about whether there “could be any wrongdoing” (there never is) or whether there could be more damaging revelations to come (there never is). I don’t think there’s ever been other politicians treated by the left-leaning media to such an endless barrage of meaningless innuendo and speculation about supposed unclear misdeeds that are in reality an intentional character assassination plot masterminded by the other party, but it’s been going on for decades now with the Clintons for some reason. I really don’t get it, but I guess whatever gets you guys pageviews.

The reason any intellectual honest person is left to wonder is because Clinton used only her discretion to judge which emails were “relevant”, and deleted the rest. So yes, you’re right, there may ever only be innuendo. But there should be, and Clinton has no one to blame but herself.

A right winger faced with that fact pattern, doesn’t “wonder”. They assertively state that she did something wrong. That however is not any reason for left-leaning people to check their brains at the door and launch into blind opposition to right wing idiots.

We can oppose them without feeling the need to blindly take Clinton at her word that she was on her best behavior when sifting her emails.

All government workers have the right to decide what’s relevant and what isn’t and toss the rest. She would’ve been able to do that even with a .gov address.

Once again proving that your slavish devotion to establishment politicians has nothing to do with any personal connection to establishment politics, you are presupposing that anybody would ever choose to be “friends” with Sidney Blumenthal.

Yeah, I think it’s kind of weird that anyone would be shocked that there’s intrigue and surreptitious email being passed back and forth at the State Dept.

      GASP.

It’s so sad to see someone who fancied himself an eminence grise a few decades ago be reduced to sycophancy. This reminds me of Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. Sad times...for you!

I’d say he’s doing exactly that. He appears to be suggesting or practically writing policy for her.

Also, I had to google eminence grise, thanks for being smart, I was getting worried all the good commenters left after outtingthatguy-gate.

Here’s the original eminence grise. Note how they bow to the “lowly” monk!

For now we’re left to wonder why exactly Sid Blumenthal took it on himself to act as a policy counsel and social secretary to Hillary Clinton—did he just want to feel like he was part of it all?

Because she invited him to do it and encouraged his efforts?

Where are these yoga routines I keep hearing about? I want to know if Hillary was doing downward facing dog and how often.

I read the post on hurricanes vs. cyclones and I think, “Man the interesting stuff you get to do, working for gawker.” Then I kinda scroll through this and am like, “Welllllllll...”

So... Gawker Media is owned by the New York Times?

I’m getting tired of this sort of “journalism”— it was popular in the late 19th century. We’re supposed to be more evolved. The reporting these past 25 years of “GET CLINTON MANIA” has just been... very Yellow.

First, as is the case with previous dumps, the fact that Clinton was permitted to unilaterally delete large portions of her private email account without any scrutiny or oversight means what the public is left with is pretty dull.

All government workers are permitted to decide what’s worth keeping and what isn’t. I know I am. The “custodian” decides what’s of value and archives it. You get so many crap emails, it’s hard not to delete a assload of them. She would’ve gotten to do that even with a .gov mailbox. Besides, our inboxes have certain space limits, 1gb at my agency. My agency moving to capture all emails JIC though because congress is constantly requesting tons of records to fish for potential dirt. Right now, the law doesn’t force you to keep all emails as a government worker. People seem to want that to change, but Hillary can’t do it.

Easily the most damning thing about Blumenthal:
