All the right wing huffing and puffing over this is ridiculous. Democrats point to this instance, and many others, and say “we need to do something about gun crime in America” ya know? Like, enforcing that “well regulated” bit of the 2nd amendment?

The GOP look at this and just scream obscenities about the BLM movement. And instead of being part of that movement, he is... Shocker, mentally ill. The #1 thing Dems have been saying need to be part of the background check.

I don’t know how this gentlemen got his gun. Maybe he stole it. Either way, it doesn’t matter. Guns are seen As such an integral part of being an American, that no one flinches at the thought of everyone carrying them around. It’s telling that in the wild fucking west, when ‘Ol Wyatt Earp wanted to stop violence in Dodge, he banned guns in the city limits. As did many other towns. Yet, in modern America, we do nothing about it because a group of people who read the fucking bible literally can’t read the first fucking sentence of the 2nd amendment.

Our founding fathers were intelligent individuals. Without a doubt they would have looked at the number of homicides by gun in modern America, and debated a solution to the problem. And I fully believe they would’ve said “we need to regulate gun ownership in America”

Regulation is not Prohibition, gun nuts.

Then amend the constitution. It's rigid for a reason. If times change, the people can change the constitution. We cannot, however, change its meaning as time progresses without amending it.

They don’t read the Bible either. They just cherry pick a few passages to help themselves feel better about their hypocrisy and justify their very un-Christian behavior.

Ok say we ban all guns In the US. We can’t even keep people from coming to this country illegally, why would you think we can keep guns from coming in.

LOL, guns coming IN? Where the fuck do you think most of the world’s guns are made? “Arms Exporter” is one of the few areas the United States actually leads the world these days.

The right would rather make it a race issue. It’s a cheaper discussion to have.

Not trolling here at all: but do you really think this WASN’T race based? The guy wanted two things- 1) cop and 2) white. this guy seems cut from the same cloth as the nut from Baltimore who gunned down the two cops in NYC. He should be prosecuted for a hate crime as well as murder.

This being Texas, they will try to fry him. Given his history, he needs to be locked up forever but again, it’s Texas, so we will see what they go for.

When the wing nuts get in huff, they just need to be reminded of the dozens of innocent black men gunned down by cops who were never even questioned, never mind prosecuted.

With a high capacity magazine (unless he reloaded twice), those are hard to get in my neck of the woods.

There used to be a nickname for Anthony Osso. Guess what it was? (I am not joking. I was on the other side from him a couple of times back when he repped strip clubs.)

He used to be the lawyer for all the interconnected families that owned the majority of the strip clubs in the Houston/Harris County area. He’s not bad. Not bad at all. I have no idea how much experience he has with mentally ill clients because he certainly has one now.

Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that the NRA’s boilerplate “it’s about mental illness, not guns” response won’t be used here?

Mentally ill or not, he shot a cop in the back in Texas. I’m pretty sure they hook him to an electric chair right there in the courtroom so they don’t have to waste time transporting him after the verdict.

Primer: Crazy dude does something heinous while crazy and is caught and arraigned within the week. Thus, the justice system is at work. Doing its thing, right? However, if a cop stops a citizen for, say, an air freshener dangling from their mirror and then manages to summarily execute them and then is sheltered behind the blue line while the police department obfuscates and delays investigation into the arrest, justice is NOT at work. There is a difference, ya feel me? #blacklivesmatter

You are aware that they have surveillance footage of the suspect getting out of the vehicle, which was registered to him(or someone in his family), walking up and shooting a uniformed law enforcement officer 15 times, right? Same as that cop in Charleston...its on tape, as ‘sheed said “Ball dont lie”.

“Miles, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after getting into a fight at a homeless shelter over a remote control”

Depending on what was on the TV, this could have been justifiable.
