    The WWE is ridiculous. Ultimate Warrior used to post videos on youtube going on rants against gay people and he has a statue and a “Warrior Award”. Hulk gets taped saying nigger without his knowledge, and they shun him.

    So to summarize -

    - Hulk grew up in a neighborhood made “rough” because it had blacks in it;

    - in the neighborhood the blacks made rough, he learned it is good to call them niggers, as to ‘fit in’ the neighborhood made made rough by blacks niggers;

    - despite earning millions and moving out of the neighborhood made rough by blacks niggers, he never perceived that calling blacks niggers, “nigger” was inappropriate and that virtually all 2nd graders learned this by kindergarten;

    - he gets on tape and admits freely to being a racist, “I am a racist.”;

    - he then gets on TV saying he meant no disrespect to blacks niggers but that’s just the way he is because, after all...

    he was raised in a neighborhood made rough by blacks niggers.

    While Hulk Hogan was on ABC this morning, Dick Cheney and daughter Liz were congenially welcomed on the CBS Morning News. I chose to not to watch the evil one and his malevolent spawn, but kind of expected there’d be some summary report of it on Gawker. I’m genuinely unclear about the wisdom of turning the knife in the person with whom your employer is in pending litigation.

    See here’s the thing...to be truly upset by this I think you have to be living under the delusion that most White people don’t feel this way. Now many may have been raised with the understanding that it was impolite to use The Word, but damned if the sentiment isn’t identical. Right down to the “how come they can say it if we can’t” logic.

    Put me in the camp of preferring a halfway honest racist to one in denial.
