This is what scares me. It may be difficult to express but everything is cool until you see someone visibly age in front of you.

I'm 22. I remember bush when he was 15 years younger. It scares me that by 37 I could've lost the hair he has. Fuck Gawker.

Yeah, well I’m 49, and I’ve been watching fucking everyone age for about 25 years now.

Except my mom. [sniff] Love you, mom.

I feel like he and Bill Clinton both aged a lot less during their Presidencies than Barack Obama has.

I’m not sure if it is because Obama is naturally more slim so as he ages his features look more gaunt. The lazy side of my brain wants to attribute Clinton’s lack of aging to the fact that he was President during a time period that made being the President as easy as it has been probably since the height of the Roaring 20s, and Bush’s to the fact that he was clueless as to how heavy the burden he had accepted was and never really caught on to it. Conversely, that part of my brain wants to attribute Obama’s aging to the fact that he had much more challenging times than Mr. Clinton and he embraced those challenges much more directly, even if it was imperfectly, than Mr. Bush.

Leave Barbara alone! I met her in Olsson’s bookstore in DC years ago and she was wearing frumpy clothes and sandals, looking at books, and was so nice to this young college kid.

corporatist ideologues and their allies in both parties.

we have to stop the false equivalence in journalist, it hurts us all

just because two parties exist and they both take corporate donations doesn’t mean that they are always equally at fault

clearly, by policy Democrats are less “corporatist” and “ideologue” and it makes us all stupider to pretend it’s 50/50

“in both parties” doesn’t imply a 50/50 split

I agree we really have to stop the false equivalence in journalist though

This is a bullshit ass opinion. In this specific situation, there is NO false equivalency, because Act 35 - which effectively destroyed New Orleans schools, resulted in the firing of hundreds of teachers, and replaced it with awful charter schools - was only passed because Kathleen Blanco, the governor of Louisiana and a Democrat, wanted it to be. http://www.progressive.org/news/2014/12/1…

I agree that in some cases, there is a false equivalency, but this is not one of those cases.

It’s too bad Bush didn’t go bald about 15 years earlier. It would have spared the world a lot of pain and suffering.

No, actually it doesn’t. You’re postponing the inevitable. You are bald or balding (despite any possible delay). Sorry...couldn’t bring you out of the greys for that one.
