    That looks like a crap shoe. Do most people have completely flat feet (I’ll answer that: no)? Then why don’t shoes have arch support? Why is this particularly true of flats, which I would be inclined to wear if they weren’t tantamount to walking barefoot?

      You don’t need arch support if the muscles in your feet are strong. Do you think people who go barefoot all the time (all humans if you go back far enough) have flat feet? Nope, it’s the opposite. Going barefoot (or wearing shoes like these) strengthen your arches, make them higher. Wearing footwear with arch support weakens your arches.

            I had a boot break while I was walking—the entire bottom of the boot including the heel disconnected and it’s a miracle I didn’t take a header because the boot caught on itself. Those suckers went in the trash the second I went home (and I usually get things fixed).
