It never ceases to amaze me that being raped in prison is accepted to the extent that it’s okay to joke about it.

Because prisoners are essentially at the bottom rung of the social ladder, those that they abuse within the correctional system are simply seen as scum or not relevant. I watched a documentary once on Youtube about being “turned out” (which is what prison rape is euphemistically referred to) and the way the perps and victims were describing their rapes were radically different. Those being raped would often describe it as something consensual and flowery whilst the perps would tell it like it is, he’s my property, he needs to get more boys to join “our family”, etc. The whole thing made me less eager to commit a crime/get caught up with the police.

All by design. If it wasn’t for rape, I think a lot more men wouldn’t be so afraid of committing a crime and going to prison. LOL, hell as father of three kids, the idea of going away for a year, meals paid for, nothing but peace and quiet for me to read and do some writing???? Pretty damn tempting! It’s the rape that keeps me honest. ;)

    Low hanging fruit is low.

I haven’t really perused the comments on Gawker’s article about the plea deal, but there has to be a few different variations of this dumb joke in there, right?

It depends on how many other users from the affiliated sites filter in.

The more Jalops, Deadspinners and Kotakus that show up, the more probable you’re going to see talk like that.

It is what it is, although I don’t find it funny.

You’re giving Gawker commenters way too much credit.

Maybe some women or gay men could weigh in on this, but I don't think you could "enjoy" a foot long cock any more than you could "enjoy" a Subway footlong.

Jared deserves to spend some serious time in jail. Jared does not deserve to be raped in jail. No one deserves to be raped, ever, for any reason. Cackling with glee at the prospect of such things happening to him doesn't help anyone. It doesn't right any wrongs. I really wish people would get over this "they deserve it" shit. They might actually deserve it, but just like some people actually deserve to die for the things they've done, it doesn't mean the death penalty is okay either.

Cackling with glee at human misery is what the Post does. You take that away, they’ve got nothing.

This is almost as bad as publicly outing a married gay man who committed no offense to deserve it.

Congrats Gawker. You’ve nearly regained the moral high ground over the New York Post.

Ummm, didn’t it turn out that guy planned his gay outing so that his actual affair would sound less believable when it came out? But by all means, keep complaining.

They’re talking about a sandwich. Only a deviant would think otherwise.

Well, in all fairness, it did encourage him to enjoy the footlong. Maybe Jared will find a loving, well hung partner in jail who can help him heal, help him make amends to his victims and the community, and jam his ass full of schlong. Jeez, Tom, why do you have to always assume the worst.

Hold on just a minute! I’ve never seen “schlong” as one of the fixings at Subway. Have they developed a new sandwich add-on just for Jared?

You may have seen it listed as tube steak, trouser snake, or love muscle. Just ask your local sandwich artist.

“ENJOY A FOOT LONG IN JAIL,”

Well, to be fair, if it’s anything like Subway’s foot-long, it’ll only be 10 inches.
