What about Hamhung, North Korea’s second largest city?

What about Hamhung as my new Tinder username?

I’m pretty sure 2 of those women are Jenna Bush, no?

But it’s also kind of uncool to post people’s Tinder profiles online, isn’t it?

I’d expect North Korea to have its own version, except that most male profiles are sock puppets of Kim Jong Un, and single women are encouraged to join.

As a side note, would anyone in North Korea not connected to the elite even have access to a computer or smartphone of any sort?

Definitely not. Only a small handful of people in the country have access ot the internet, and most of it is highly restricted.

In any case, the average person in DPK generally would not be able to afford much by way of electronics. A decent number of people now apparently own TVs and DVD players, but not much beyond that. There is no cellphone network aside of Pyongyang at all, and there is no wireless band.

Did you test Grindr in North Korea? I wonder how its stats / user base would stack up against Tinder’s in that market.

Pssht! Everyone (except Tinder) knows that the decedents of unicorns are free from the obsession with copulation exhibited by mere mortals.

You couldn’t take two extra goddamned minutes to center Kim’s picture inside the white circle?

You’re actually probably better off checking near the DPRK-China border, where less-monitored wireless service “leaks” across the border. Anyone who is actually using Western social networks in the DPRK isn’t going to be doing so on Koryolink.
