If someone is determined to be so mentally incapacitated that they cannot make business decisions, then how can they give knowing consent to a divorce? Should there be a trustee or conservator appointed by the court to determine that this is the right thing for him? Not that I give a shit about this guy, but it seems odd to me.

Do you really get to consent to a divorce? Seems like one party’s is enough for something like that.

Maybe if you’re suing for divorce, but I don;t think one spouse can just go in and sign papers and you are divorced. Seems like that would need both spouses.

None of us are on Shelly Sterling’s level. She’s like a money goddess. Future/current gold diggers, bow down. I bet she’ll find a way to make this divorce work out in her financial favor too.

I like to share this story when Shelly comes up. I took her deposition once at my old office in the McArthur Park area of LA (sketchy area...especially several years ago). At our lunch break she got super... Super excited that she got to go to the international house of pancakes for lunch. Like some kind of bizarre rich person tourism.

Creeps like him tend to live until they are 99, at least.
